I shaved my vagina for the first time yesterday and it was fine, but when I put my tights on I experienced some itchiness and I have just ignored. But now I have taken tights my tights off and there are red bumps/ spots on the itchy side and I'm embarrassed to tell my mum. Please help.

Hi there. These red spots are sometime called shaving rash. I get them to when shaving off my pubic hair. Firstly use a sharp razor when shaving then you won't have to repeatedly have to go over the same area to shave all the hairs. Secondly you can then ( after shaving) either apply a talcum based powder to your vagina to dry the area properly or put on a moisturising cream to keep the skin moist
