Dear Reader,
Although I had a few problems growing up, my sexual problems started when I was 21 and I suddenly lost the ability to feel pleasure during intercourse, which had always been exquisite for me. Then 14 years later, I lost all my clitoral feeling too. It was horrible! To make a long story short in the interest of space and time, the best thing I can tell you is that my child's doctor, a genetics specialist, told me to begin the same treatment as my son. This is the standard treatment as far as the supplements. He also had us see a registered dietician because we need a low protein diet. Now some patients with this disease need a high protein diet. This diet will play a major role in your healing. It wouldn't do for you to take the large amount of supplements unless you are diagnosed because it wouldn't be good for you unless your body needs them. The best advice I can give you is to write down every health problem you are experiencing. Anything such as muscle or hip pain, diarrhea, constipation, vision problems, or anxiety. Make a doctor listen to you. Preferably a good metabolic specialist. You may need to be tested for an acylcarnitine deficiency. A loss of vaginal sensation is NOT normal. Especially with 8000 nerve endings in the clitoris alone. It is my theory that since this disorder can affect the muscles and the nerves, the vaginal muscles have the most sensitive nerves in the body.It often presents itself after the birth of a baby. You may have other health problems that can be explained as other things. The problem with doctors is that they usually view women's sexual problems as psychological instead of physical. But don't be fooled. Get to a good doctor and let me know how you're doing. By the way, I lost my job and insurance 2 months before I figured out what kind of doctor we needed. So he told me what treatment to use. Its a fact that when a child is diagnosed with this disease, the mother usually has it too. But for the most part she may be asymptomatic until after the birth of a child. I have other ideas about treatment that I believe would be successful. If you are interested or just want support, post a reply. It does help me to be able to communicate with someone who I may be able to help.Good luck!
