I'm trying to figure out what my surgery was called. Bone-on-bone at the first metatarsul joint. Two doctors said arthritis. This podiatrist took one look and asked when I wanted to have surgery. I was estatic! No more "try this" and "try that". Had a large Morton's Nueroma incised at the same time. Actually, I feel pretty good. Relafen helps the inflamation and Tramadol helps with pain.
Doctor doesn't realize that no one told me I was supposed to stay off my feet or anything. Had it done on Friday morning. Went to work today (Monday). When it hurts, I put it up for awhile. Then I get up and start moving around again. Seems to feel better when I move around, until I get to the point where my body says, "Oops! Sit down and put it up again".
I don't think anything could hurt worse than the foot did before the surgery. This is a piece of cake!
