Put plain yogurt up there with a finger and wear a pad every so often as needed. It may be BV or it may just be normal. period pretty much is rotting guts. I’ve smelled copious amounts of actual blood before and it smells like period. as it goes through the vagina it picks up discharge as well. even if it is bv taking antibiotics to get rid of it might just come back due to diet or reinfection by sexual partner. It’s not an std though, even virgins can get bv. so yogurt up a little and i find it works.

Im inclined to believe you because a couple periods ago, I thought I left one in..dug around a bit didnt find it and just went on. Now two months in a row the smell. I think thats it. Ima bear down and get a glove and dig around for it. Thanks

You should never use talc down below it is known to cause cancer. Soap free and I scented products are best and cotton underwear and avoid wearing tight fitting clothes to often.

Hi, there I think some of the comments are cruel and misleading! With that said I’ve experienced the same thing. I’m 44 years old and this started about a year ago. I went to the doctors and I was told I had absolutely nothing. It’s called pre menopause and hormonal change. You have too first go to a medical doctor and find out if in fact you have anything. Then I suggest buying some vagisil order block too at least help with the smell. You can also try norforms they work great. You can also look into some low dose estrogen birth control pills to help you’re hormones balance out. Basically I’ve never ever had a problem down there with smell. My hormones are out of whack because of the body change. Once you get your hormones in check the smell will subside. Also check out your local planned parenthood. They can help you as for as cost and getting u the help u need. If needed medically. Hope that helps

Went to the doctor for this exact issue. Period coming too frequent, blood had the stench. He was concerned a fibroid m tumor may have gone necrotic. In reality, it was a small portion of a tampon that had broken off. I couldn’t feel it when checking, couldn’t feel it during intercourse and it didn’t dislodge when the next periods occurred. No smell in between, just the blood was disgusting smelling. They removed it, put me on antibiotics to prevent TSS.

I totally agree about the smell being connected to a miscarriage. That seems to explain the rotten flesh smell.

I had the same issue and it was an old tampon. Embarrassing to say the least, but the doctor said it happens all the time. She gave me antibiotics and said to take probiotics and drink lots of water. The smell went away in3 days.

I have the same problem @ 21 years and actually have always had it since first getting my period @ 11 years old.. My blood reeks of something dead on my period, it makes me so uncomfortable and paranoid that everyone else around me can smell it also..
I also have very heavy periods and up to a few years ago I would constantly pass through huge blood clots, after going to my GP they had said that my issues were all hormonal.. I still haven’t found a explanation or solution for the foul dead odor :(
