I'm 43 years old; I've been an active marathon runner for decades now. My running times are not that great as they used to be, but now I'm in that period of life when winning simple is not enough.
Running miles and miles seems like a challenge I'll never be able to defeat. Perhaps I'm getting too old, and perhaps I should change my sport's discipline. Who knows? Running miles are even getting in my dreams. Funny, right?

My friend, it seems to me that you have a middle age crisis and that your dissatisfaction with running comes from that problem. You should be proud that you managed to stay in marathon for so long. You could teach a lot of people the meaning of word endurance. Not to mention that you're probably much healthier than a 20-year old student who won't find some little time for sport, beside studying and partying. Funny, right?
