Hi. I had a little accident a while ago, and now I have a little wound on my arm. The thing is, that I would like to not have a big scar on my arm. So, that is why I would like to understand what makes a scar to be bigger and wider and what doesn't. I know my question seems strange, but I am serious.

The scaring depends on lot of things. Size, depth, location of the wound, the age of the person, heredity, pigmentation, and other. There isn't really much you can do. If the doctor done a good job the scar will be small. In the meanwhile, there is a number of medications you could use to treat the wound - topical corticosteroids, anesthetic ointments, and antihistamine creams.
