This may not be the answer for every case in here but it may help some of you. I've tried Librax and it did provide some relief especially at night. I could sleep for 6-7 hours in the first 2 weeks after I started it (up from 4.5 hours) and the pain in the morning is very mild. The cause of the pain is still undiagnosed but at least I could get some sleep. Not sure if it will last but it's worth a try. Good luck.

To anyone that has had there gallbladder removed please know that the gallbladder was not the issue the gallbladder is simply a holding stage for the liver that produces the bile that goes into the gallbladder, the reason why you got gallstones or you have pain in your gallbladder (near stomach tucked under your liver) or you have sludge bile is due to the fact that your liver wasn't working properly in the first place to produce good bile. Now if your liver is producing sludge bile or you have had your gallbladder removed due to gallstones you will have less bile your stemyour system. Now what bile does is helps your stomach break down the fats that are in the food you eat. When you have less bile in your system your body has a hard time breaking down the fat, which in turn can cause pain and diarrhea (almost every time you eat if you don't have the proper diet). So how do you remedy this? Unfortunately the answer is not easy, since your body no longer produces the correct amount of bile to break down the fats you will need to take a supplement for the rest of your life with every single meal you eat, the best one is Ox Bile, I found 180 capsules on Amazon for $17 and if you eat 3 meals a day that will last you 2 months. Also since your liver is probably not functioning properly you will want to take a tonic that contains Milk Thistle and Dandelion and this can be found at Sprouts. Also if you haven't already done so you need to drastically change your diet after you hsve had your gallbladder removed or if your gallbladder is not producing the correct amount of bile. Hope this helps someone.

Im no doctor nor a health practitioner, but the answer to all of you is Cumin. 1/2 a tea spoon of fine minced cumin every 2 to 3 hours during the day and in God's will you will start feeling much better from the next day. P.S. maintain a healthy diet.

Same here. Had the lot checked out! Just back from Holiday in Italy, NO Pains.... So now I'm sure it's what I'm eating that disturbs sleep. Did not eat berries or drink milk and had less tea than normal. So start eliminating foods that are interfering with your metabolism.

Hello all, I came in with the medicine for this problem from experience after dealing with it for years. The solution is to not eat before you sleep in a couple hours, although in some cases stress causes the pain with an empty stomach. Make your last meal as oil less and not spicy as possible even if you have to eat spinach only. I also advice you again to keep away from stress and again and again and again. Hope this helps all of you and I hope all and every one of you a fast and lasting recovery. I can now sleepisode laying down instead of sitting.

Rick... I've been on multiple boards and read hundreds of comments and your descriptions and symptoms are very similar to the symptoms I've been dealing with for over a month now. The hallmark symptoms being sharp to dull pain after sleeping 5-6 hours every night, typically resolving once I get moving and going in the morning. My GI ordered stool samples and he said I have C. Diff. I've been on Flagel now 3X day for 5 days. I have 5 more days to go. First 2-3 days I thought it was working, but I'm still waking up with the same pain. Have your symptoms resolved?

I am suffering from the same nightly pain in my stomach.
My doctor ( a friend) recommended to smoke Marijuana before sleeping for the pain. I is amazing! Within a few mins. the pain is gone and I can sleep.
I hope this helps with your pain as it did mine.
