Well let me start off by saying is it common for doctors to rush to get out of the room and not sit down with you as a Phycologist would and listen to your problems? I understand they have "other" patiences waiting but it kinda sucks when you have that impression that you need to hurry up with your issues. He interrupts when I try to explain my problems. He looks at his watch while I'm speaking. At the time I didn't know I had a chronic yeast infection. I show him my private parts expecting he'll put some gloves to examine it. He didn't do that. He just looks at it and says, "I don't know what that is" "I'll have to referr you to a dermatolisgist". And the next available appt. was two months away. I asked, " so what can I do in the mean time for this problem that I have"? He says, Sorry you'll have to wait till you see the derm.

He has been my primary for a year and I only seen him three times within that year. ALL those visits where rushed. I don't even speak in long paragrahs. I think i wanna cancel my physical check up in june.

Do you guys have any similiar experiences and do you think I should get another doctor or should I give him a chance?

Well I really didn't have this kind of experience with my doctor, and usually I speak with my doctor until I am satisfied with the answer that he give's me. Your doctor sounds like he doesn't care. In my opinion you should find another doctor. It is understandable that he has patients but you went there because your have a problem and you need a solution. Two months is a long time. He had to give you some advice and not just to send you to dermatologist without any clue what to do for two months.

You know I've never had a doctor that took his time to "chat" if you will. Very especially those "urgent care" doctors. They're just like robots. No personality. They come in small room, look at your problem then shove a paper prescribtion to your face. No questions asked. The nurses are the most human and spend more time with you than the doctor.

I've had about three primary doctors all my life only one of them acted it bit more human than the others.

I guess I'll just try my luck with another doctor. I guess I'm not having the best of luck with physicians lately because I've talk to my co-workers and they are good with theirs. I'll probably try their doctor.

Btw, I managed to get an early derm appointment today rather than two months away. Gosh....See, why was I able to do that myself but the doctor couldn't? Bad doctor!!

Maybe the best option is to try some of your friends doctors. If they are satisfied then you might be too. You are not asking too much, and I think that little should give you.

Good luck with dermatology appointment and give us an update when you have some news.

Best of luck

I read up on yeast infections and did the home test. You spit in the glass of water and if your spit starts to dissolve that looks like spiderwebs, then you have yeast infection. I did that and it came out positive.

Now the Dermatoligist wasn't aware I did that test and she said its probably not a yeast infection. She prescribed some steriod creams. Do you think Dermatoligist specialize in yeast infections? Its my stupid primary doctor who recommended me to a derm. He didn't know what I had.
