Hello, I am 19 years old, a few day ago i noticed a hard vein on my penis foreskin and when i took a closer look, it seams to originate from a small dark blueish area on the frenulum, the hard vein continues for about 1 cm then there is a big bump (i think the vein just does a S or something) and continues on for about 0.5 cm then disappears into the foreskin. its not painful but just fells a little weird to the touch.
any idea on what it could be or if i should see a doctor ?
thanks for the help

Based on your description, several possibilities come to mind:
-
Varicocele: This is an enlargement of the veins within the loose bag of skin that holds your testicles (scrotum). However, these typically are associated with the scrotum and not the penis itself.
-
Thrombosed Penile Vein: It can happen when a vein in the penis becomes engorged with blood and forms a painful clot. This often appears as a firm, painful vein on the penis.
-
Infection or Inflammation: Any trauma or infection can cause local inflammation, which may present as swelling or hardness.
-
Other Causes: There are various other benign reasons for lumps and bumps in the genital area, but determining the exact cause would require a physical examination and potentially some diagnostic tests.
Regardless of the specific issue, it's essential to see a healthcare professional, preferably a urologist, to get a proper assessment. They can provide a definitive diagnosis and recommend any necessary treatments or interventions.
