They are STILL here!! They've been here since 1:00.....and it's not only cold in here, it STINKS from their soldering iron or something. They already set the smoke detector off twice.
I better have a really low heating bill next month for all this......

$50 SERVICE CALL even if there are no repairs, per house. They're usually paid more than minimum wage.

Ahh, good point. $75 here, plus they've been here for several hours so the labor bill on this is going to be ugly. :umno:

I wouldn't tip them. They probably get paid good money to do that for a living. I agree with Sonny on the drink offer.

Depends. I have a guy who works for me. He does our service calls. If a service call costs $50. he gets all the money. He does it on his own time. Most of the time it's a fee the customer pays. If it's a service call that I have to pay for he gets paid the cost of a delivery. Minimum of $45. And usually no more than an hour of work for him. Our delivery company charges us by the hour to do deliveries. (We use a moving company) We charge the customer a del fee depending on the town. Pretty pricy and our customers are known for not tipping.
When I moved I tiped my del guys $50. each and I bought them all the drink they needed and lunch.
