signs of throat cancer

Can be cause by a NSAID. I been using Voltaren and I believe that's the cause.

Hi everyone, I'm 18 years of age and i have discoverd a hard lump like a pebble on the back of my throat. I too have been smoking but its been off and on for twos years. I'm quit worried about it, Could this be throat cancer or a virus? I've had it for ONLY two weeks so could it be nothing??

hi this morning i woke ok but reacently i have fount it dry when eating finding it hard for saliver to swallow food this morning throaght like pain to swallow came from nowere having slite headacking up left side of my geor sounds like the same as your problem did you find the problem i am answering to??

i have the same problem like you and nella such as feels pressure in ears during breathing, dryness in throat, feeling somthing is inside the throat during swallowing saliva, tightness in throat , feeling uncomfortableness

I had a vocal cord biopsy for luekoplakia last week, still waiting for the results The dr did ask me about acid reflux.. The dr told me it could be fungal infection from advair, pre cancer or cancer , I've had horsness for 1.5 year It get so bad that I have NO voice at all , get choked on drinks but not solids, I also have thyroid nodules. I seen endocrinologist yesterday and she says that the thyroid issues is Graves' disease. I do have all the symtoms, fatigue, major mood swings, excessive sweating and turn very red, random fever, my skin hurts to touch with the fever, extreamly high rapid heart rate rate. I'm not sure if any of the Graves' disease has anything to do with the throat problem but it does make me nervous because they are close together and I scared that I have 1 and it spread to another location. I don't know if this helps you at all but I will get my results from the biopsy tomorrow and can post the results.. Have you seen a ent and had the light ran down the back of your throat? I also had 8 abnormalities on my pre surg. labs

same iv been dipping a can a day for the past few months been dippin for 4 years now. im only 18 and i have a bunch of red n white bumps on the back of my throat. and my throats swollown pretty bad. gone to, two differnt docotors one said it was just a sore throat not to worry about it n the other one said it was a cuzzin of strept throat they both have givin me meds n nether of them have helped at all. im worried that its probly throat cancer. cause i smoke to. have since i was 9. so idk. i really hope its not though

Hello, I was just curious to see if you had had a test for thyroid function? It is situated in that region of the throat by the adam's apple and may well be causing your distress. They can test this via a simple blood test. Hypothyroidism is certainly something worth checking for. Good luck and I hope it's all OK

I had a problem like that too. It started with a persistent dry cough that came only at night or in the morning just as I woke up. I started to feel a burning sensation in my throat that remained for about two weeks. I went to the doctor who told me it was inflammed tonsils. I got a dose of antibiotics (Cephalexin) for 3 days. The burning sensation stopped and was immediately followed by a sensation of mucus stuck at the base of my tonsils. I am surprised at the amount of people who have posted here.  I've had a sore throat for 2 weeks, taking Tylenol and Advil for swelling and pain.  My dr did a throat culture because she thought it was strep throat, which is turns out it is NOT.  I don't really have allergies and I've only experienced acid reflux during pregnancy.  Today, the painful spot sits on the right side of my Adams apple.  If I push gently I can make it click.  I have no other symptoms at all.  No fever, no cough, nothing.  Just a very irritated throat.  I am a smoker....which clearly isn't HELPING the issue, but even on days where I smoke very little it changes nothing.  I am rebooking with my dr, perhaps I will ask for a referral to a specialist....I'd just really like it to go away.  I've only been dealing with this for 2 weeks....I can imagine the frustration of those who have been dealing with this for over a year.  Good luck all.....I hope each of us finds relief.

i have almost the same as others that posted i feel dryness and swelling but it does not hurt. I am also able to breath, eat and drink anything and it wont hurt. im scared i could be cancer because my throat  felt weird when i woke up after smoking the other day. i have been feeling this for over a week now but i also think it could be stress because alot has happen to me the last few months and its been really stressing me out. i would really like help 

Hi I have been the same I had brain scan to see if there was any thing that could be causing it nerve wise but no. I do have reflux and since taking antacids and staying away from sugar, chocolate, spices and any thing with natural acid such as some fruits and drinks and fatty things, it has almost gone. I changed my job and it completly went away untill I had the foods above that I had stopped eating. Yes most are ones favourites, but there are substitutes. Try Elimination of different things in your life keep a diary then look back on it. Cancer does not give pain that is why so many people are unfortunate.

Yes, sounds familiar, I had the scope and it got worse after, now I just keep drinking water and went back to 1/2 a coffee a day and lots of exercise...I'm thinking bad molar now?

Hi For over a month I have been having tightness in my throat and the feeling of my windpipe being closed off.. I went to the Er and they did a soft tissue ct and it showed nothing. They said it is caused by gerd, and prescribed nexium which I have been on fir a LONG time.. I have hypothyroid and my levels are good but I'm still having this problem all day long. Sometimes it can be affected by when I drink or eat ANYTHING. I try to eat something light and small once a day but this is driving me crazy!! I really thought they would find something in my throat. I'm sure it has nothing to do with this but I have a brain stem tumor and have had a titanium disc placed in my neck at c6. Could the disc have slipped and have caused this feeling?
