So I think I have this problem too. I put a tampon in a while ago and it hurt lots but I didnt think much of it because I was late for work. Then when I took my tampon out later in the day I had to rip it out because it fet really sore. I was freaking out because all of a sudden I saw lots of blood gushing out. When I got home i took a bath and felt a piece of skin coming out of my vagina hole like a tongue (lol but scary). So I went to the hospital, the doc said I was fine but he didnt explain to me when it was from. I had notices I kinda had a separate opening to my right side but ignored it since I had noticed it year ago and partners had never mentioned it. I am going to go see a doc about it. Because I am pretty sure that it is that piece of skin that has broken off and now it is string of skin hanging out of the opening. Should I get it removed, I don't have the stomach to do it myself, it bled so much when only one end had broken off.

Don't break it. I went to the doctor and mine had snapped it was very painful. There is lots of blood supply in this skin. At least in mine. My doc said it is completely normal and if I have a baby that the doc can remove it at that time. I have had it a long time and it only broke later on accidentally. My previous boyfriends never noticed it. If anything go to the doctor and see. because mine did break but now I have a piece that sticks out a bit and it is going to stay there for a while. I can still have sex and it is just another small part of my vagina skin.

I had the same exact problem. When I would try and take out my tampons they would get stuck and I had to move the flap of skin over to one side to get the tampon out. I went to my gyno and she looked at it and said it was just an extra piece of skin. It is not your hymen. She just cut it out for me and now I can use tampons very easily. However, I am not going to lie it did hurt when she cut it because she numbed it first with a needle. I had a really painful stinging feeling for about an hour. But it was so worth it!

I just went to pull out my tampon this morning and had whatever this is wrapped around my tampon! I was completely scared out of my mind. I've been living at my boyfriend's house, and I was going to go ask his sister about it, but I was too embarrassed to do that. It hurt really bad when I went to do everything, and then I started bleeding. A LOT. And it wasn't like period blood, it was like I had a cut or something. I'm not sure what to do now. I don't have health insurance, so I can't afford to go to a doctor. HELP.

So I am so relieved to see other people have the same problem as me ! About a year ago I was taking out my tampon and it got stuck on something so I pulled hard and accidentally ripped it in half, and now I have two pieces of skin hanging from my vagina. Today, I decided I would try cutting it off because I'm sick of being embarrassed by it and only managed to cut a little off and was bleeding A LOT. Its been two hours since I did this and it is still bleeding slightly so I wouldn't recommend cutting it yourself. Should I be going to the doctors to get it removed or is their an easier way to do it ?

it may be a septate hymen. it is normal, it just does not break the same as a typical hymen. ou may have it removed by a dr. try googleing it.
