How can you remove it yourself. I have the same thing and it got stuck on a tampon too. Can you break it without having to spend any money on surgery I don't even have a geinacologist yet.

That's the hymen, and also a myth.
This skin is much different than the hymen, and the hymen should not be ripped. (If you ripped or tore it, you're not having sex correctly, quite honestly).

Hi guest, the piece of skin your talking about sounds like it is probably your hymen is it just a strand across the vagina entrance or does it cover part of the vagina entrance?
How have you got them out before or is this your first time using tampons?
If it's your first time then you shouldn't leave it in more than 6 hours as it can cause toxic shock syndrome, have another go at getting it out and make sure your fully relaxed before you try and he you can't get it out you need to talk to your mum about it so they can help as you may need surgical help.

Not this is something different it is on the outside not all the way inside. It is not the cherry. It needs to be surgically removed.

No, not every women has this. They arent speaking about their hymen. It's a piece of skin that runs usually from the top inside the opening to the other side. The doctor had to remove mine before I gave birth to my son. Not talking about an apesiotomy either. SOME women have, not all. Mine would get stuck on a tampon also and it was so annoying. I don't remember what it's called but so glad it's gone now.

Thank you! This post has made the most sense to me! Yesterday, I put in a tampon when I wanted to go into the pool after work to swim some laps. Last night, when I went to take it out, I had swollen inside and I couldn't even find the string! I put a finger in to try and pull it out as I "pushed" like having a baby. But when I did, I felt the tampon move down along side my finger, but the alarming thing was that it was on the other side of a piece of skin. I still haven't gotten it out and have warned my husband that if I don't get it out by the time I leave work, he is going to get the honors when I get home from work. Needless to say, he is totally grossed out and is hoping I succeed on my own. I have never had this problem before, and like you, I generally use Playtex tampons. I was all out and had to dip into my reserve stash of tampons and all I had were Tampax.

Did it hurt when you had sex like more than usual for your first time? Is it bad to not get it removed because I think I have it?

Hi, what is it your actually talking about because the post you replied to is 8 years old now.
If you can give accurate details on what you have then one of the regular people on here now may be able to help you out.

HI I just noticed it and it scared me I thought something was wrong, so it won't bother me when I have sex because it's like right where the hole is

It's called a hymen. Every woman has one, it stretches with sex. It tears & bleeds (referred to as "popping the cherry" or losing your virginity) if you're not careful the first few times you have sex. Some cover the entire opening, some are barely there, some are somewhere in between; they develop differently for everyone. Sex Ed 101.
