July 29,2014; I am 6 weeks and had my first ultrasound yesterday . Baby's heartbeat was fine beating a fast and rapid pace. The nurse said I have two very small cysts and that they may in fact help support the pregnancy. I've never had cysts before and this is my first pregnancy . Will everything be okay? Do I worry about this becoming a problem and putting my pregnancy at risk? I'm not sure how to react !

Hi Jessica,

Congratulations.

I assume you mean an ovarian cyst.  If so, small ovarian cysts are VERY common and not usually any problem.  They usually resolve theselves in a few months.

You may have had them in the past.  Often they present with NO symptoms.

You should not need to worry about it at all.

Good luck.
