after reading some of the repost's It makes me feel a lot better I was thinking it was going to be the "C" word. It is hard and is about the size of a larger pee and its right in between my thumb and my pointer finger. It doesnt hurt but if I play with it it dose get tender also. Thank you all for helping me be more calm about this issue.

i went to the doctor last week for what sounds like exactly the smae thing as you guys have. he said its a lipoma which there no need for any worries. if it can move around a little. has a little play in it. then its a lipoma which is nothin more than a fatty cell. if it doesnt move at all, its a cyst then, and you should think about getting it removed because it can be cancerous

hi all, I have something similar, it just popped up last night within minutes it seemed, it's near the biceps just before but almost on the bend, when my arm bends, it disappears. it doesn't hurt unless I push on it, besides that it's a little sore. I will probably go to the doctor.

How can you determine whether a bump is fatty tissue or a lymph node? Is there any way to know besides a thorough knowledge of anatomy and where sentinal nodes would be found?

I am a girl of 13 years old and i have a tiny skin colored bump where my arm bends. It is under the skin and about the side of a bb. Its raised a little above the skin when I straighten my arm. Can you tell me what it is? And what hazards could it have? Please answer...

Here is something to add to this topic. I noticed the hard little bump quite suddenly. It popped up on the side of my index knuckle one day. I couldn't put the same ring on my finger that I had there the day before. The day before, a Spruce Bug (large, black with long antennas - icky) had landed right on that very spot on my finger before I knocked it away. I figure the bug had somehow caused the bump. That was 1 month ago. The bump has not changed.

Sounds like I am not the only one with this thing. A couple years ago it started as what I thought was a mosquito bite. It has never gone away and feels like a hard UFO shaped disk just under my skin. Just the same, no pain just weird.

Yesterday I noticed that no hair is growing in that area now (I have plenty of hair on my arms, but there is NOTHING there). The lack of hair is about the size of a silver dollar. With the lack of hair I will now see a Doc about it though.

I used to have one on my right arm, below my elbow on the outer side of the forearm under the skin. I'm not sure when I had this small bb sized thing on my arm but I got it removed by my family doctor. He wasn't quite sure what it was when he removed it surgically. He sent it for some tests and the results were quite relieving. It was nothing more than calcium deposits. He told me it's harmless even if I didn't have the surgery to remove it. My doctor wasn't quite sure why I had one on the arm but it wasn't a big deal. I had it removed when I was 17, now I'm 23 and it hasn't grown back or anything. Everything is fine.

FYI, there were no symptoms of any kind. I didn't feel any pain, itch, irritation, or anything from it. It was just some lump under my skin. At first I thought it was a tumor and even worse if it was cancerous.

I have read most of these posts talking about these lumps in arms. Does anyone have similar lumps around their rib cage under the skin that are movable and similar size to the one's on the arms? I have had these for a while and docs just say not to worry, but there just seems to be something odd here. Any thoughts?

yeah I have a hard lump on my forearm. it doesn't move and it hurts when I try to move it. Ive had it for 2 years and the doctor keeps telling me to come back in a few months if its still there and now its starting to slowly grow which creeps me out:S when i pinch it, its about the size of a marble and it clearly visible.

I have a few. I got 2 on my forearm several around my stomach and chest. They are some sort of fat deposit that doesnt seem to go away. A few of mine are tender to touch but otherwise dont worry me. My father also has and has had them. His grew quite large to about the size of a golf ball when he was about 25. Just a genetic disposition i guess where fat accumulated doesnt get a blood supply to burn away like normal fat.
