i have the same thing, i think it happened around when i was picking blackberrys for my wine, i spent 2 weeks picking and one day i noticed it felt like a sliver, i have a small lump i thought mite be a spider bite :O but its been 3 yrs now about and its about the size of a pea, its between my wrist and elbow on my left arm (underside) and despite picking at it from time to time it never changes, it only gre for the first 2 months maybe and now its to where people ask me about it from time to time, i just want to know if its ok to stab it with something, it feels hard and is almost shaped like a ticktack not round . and if i did stab it would i want to use a needle or exacto blade?

I would not suggest stabbing it! Let your physician do the stabbing.
I have had one on my forearm for maybe about a year, and two more just appeared, one on the same arm in the crook and the other on my other forearm.
I just started weight-lifting again and I think that has something to do with it.

I also think weight lifting has something to do with it. I got it about 4 months ago during the week where i started using gloves with a strap at the top to help the wrists when doing more weight. I stopped using those gloves and didn't get no more after that.

Hey everyone,
I had a hard pea / bb-size lump under the skin on my forearm. It was there for about a year and a half.
DONT WORRY THOUGH!
I had mine removed by a dermatologist. He said it was just a collection of minute blood vessel that were open and constantly feeding blood into a pocket under my skin.
Since he cut it out, I've had a scar that likely won't go away, but more importantly, no lump.

It could either be the C word: lol
Calcium supply or
Lymphatic knot (Something that helps you get out of colds)
Don't be stupid it's not cancer.

I have noticed small bump on my forarm this morning after excerise on a tread mill and a few streatiching. I discovered after my shower. One thing I did this week diffrent is excerise daily and ate bananas and other fruts more. As everyone discribs some sort of calcium deposit?
Two things I observe how it happened is after excerise and may be eating calcium or potassum rich food. This is intersting to find out and let us keep the idea exchange.
Good luck everyone.

Hi everyone,
I can't speak for everyone (as you may have different symptoms), but I think I might know at least what it is... Trying to track down what is causing this though.
I had two of these in my arms a few years ago. The strange part was that I had one on each arm, and they appeared at almost the same time. (One of the messages above described this perfectly as a hard ball about the size of a pea or a BB, right underneath the skin). I had them for about a year before I decided that I needed to know what these things were...
The doctor removed them, and after analysis, they turned out to be non-cancerous fatty cysts. The doctor essentially said that "these things happen" and that it really wasn't anything to worry about (Note: If you have them, you should still get them checked just to be on the safe side. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend stabbing them! You could hurt yourself and it won't get rid of them.)
Anyway, I was fine for a few years with no sign of them. Then, about two years ago, they came back with a vengeance. I now have about six of them throughout my forearms (both sides). I haven't had them removed (in an effort not to have the surgeon turn my arms into swiss cheese), but I'm trying to figure out what causes this... Here are a few questions for everyone (Please tell me if this sounds right to you):
* Do you only get them in your arms?
* For the people that do, do you use a computer more than 6 hrs a day?
* If not, do you work with other electrical equipment (touching the equipment with your hands, etc)?
Due to the nature of my job, I'm on the computer about 10 hrs a day (avg). Besides needing a serious job change, I'm beginning to wonder if maybe these things have something to do with resting your arms/hands on electrical devices for extended periods of time.
Please let me know what you think and thanks for your help!

Ive always been curious about the small bb size knot on my forearm too . its located on the top of my forearm closer to my wrist them my elbow. I always thought it was on my vein. I am relieved after reading that so many other people have the same symptoms on this forum. Im curious why most people mention it being on there forearm too. I noticed it about 14 years ago and its never gootten bigger or smaller, so I just never thought to get it checked out by a doctor. It only bothers me if the bump gets hit or pressed against. It gets sore when that happens. Im a male who exercises regularly and eats pretty healthy so I always assumed that it wasnt anything life threating. Thats a man for you, huh. lol I havent read all the post, but just wanted to give my two cents.

I have discovered over the last 6 months these lumps under the skin below my breasts on both sides of my ribcage, they are almond shaped and slip around when I put my fingers on them, they seem to lie between the ribs on the surface of the muscle just under the skin, some of them hurt or burn once in a while and they seem to shrink or change shape a little too, it seems that they get worse as the day goes on and I sit at my desk for hours every day, so the ones on the front and sides (about 5 of them ) seem to get sore, some have even dissappeared, but I have lost my health insurance and don't want to get run around and end up with thousands of unnecessary dr bills, what could they be or what kind of Doctor should I see, to get it right the first time..yikes..I have always been healthy.

my 9 yr old son has a bump on his forearm with no hair. Hair all around it, just not in the area the bump is at. Took him to regular doctor, and within 5 minutes she scheduled an appt with a surgeon for us. We went to surgeon today and he takes an xray because it seems to be a "mystery" bump but not to worry it isn't cancerous since it's not "attached" to the bone or muscle, it slides around in the bump. It like a dome shape or a dime shape. Going Friday for results.

i just got one today too. i think it has to do with exercising as others have mentioned. i haven't worked out and exercised in a couple of years and i just started again and a few days later i had this bump on my arm. right above the elbow. same as mostly everyone described. i just hope nothings wrong with me. should i see a doctor soon? or should i wait a week and see if it shrinks or something? dont have insurance and i kinda dont want to spent money but i will if i have to.

It def. has something to do with lifting weights. this helps so much. i noticed this knot in my arm one day after an especially intense workout. Hearing that other people got them after lifting makes me feel better...it must be a popped blood vessel. It is now starting to bruise around my forearm. Good to know- will hold off on the doctors for another few weeks

Three Days ago I noticed a large lump on my forearm between my wrist and my elbow on the underside of my forearm. It is about the side of a half-dollar and it appeared overnight. It does not itch and is not tender to the touch and it is not hot. It is slightly pink but only after the second day. I am very fair and there is no indication of a bug bite. I went to the doctor and even he is stumped about it. He said it wasn't a bite, It has minimal movement and the skin over it appears to be healthy. He checked my lymph nodes in my elbow and under my arm and nothing seemed to indicate an infection of any sort. The only thing that he could think of was a possible allergy but seeing as my routine has not changed I am not sure I am buying that. I am taking benedryl and applying cold compresses. If it were a cyst or a fatty tumor he believed it would not have appeared overnight to the current size.

I have two lumps, one on my arm and one on my forearm, both on my left arm. They are underneath the skin, and hurt when I touch it. You can't really see them, but one is almost the size of a golf ball. What could this be?? I can't seem to find any answer to it.......
