I think I have a keloid? scar tissue from an old ski injury years ago (knee went up to chest and pulled something in the lower back, bruised and swollen bump back then / same location). 

this lump must be on/near a ligament/nerve as I wake up in pain but subsides during the day, I figure a lot of hip twisting and turning at night, not sure.

Problem is I've had two MRI's and nothing shows so none of the doctors will refer me to surgery.  another doc said it was referred pain, and I even went the epidural route, just to rule it out - still in pain.

how the heck do I get a surgeon to take this scar tissue out without a diagnostic?
