hello, i am 16 years old, will be 17 in a few weeks. okay as i mentioned in the thread name, there are many threads like this but please suggest something to me personally, i would really appreciate this.

i can't pull my foreskin back whether im soft or hard, i think this might be because of smegma, cause even with phimosis and the yellow thing blocking disease freunoplasty or that you should be able to pull it back when penis is soft. my parents have never talked to me about penis washing or anything so i grew up and have never washed it under the foreskin with soap, so could it be the smegma blocking the foreskin from going down?

ive been lurking these forums for about six months and ofc i tried to do the stretching thing but i really think it doesnt work for me, and when i slept and was dreaming of something i pulled it back too much and it resulted into a scar not deep or anything, just like a red rash-like line so thats why i dont dare to stretch it anymore.

please give me some suggestions, i really dont wanna go to an urologist though, my family is always been awkward of things like this and i dont want them to find out, also growing with this family has made me pretty much like that except with friends so i wouldnt like someone examining my penis, so is there a home-made way to solve this problem somehow? please help! !

Hi helpquick,

Don't worry about posting similar topics. This is what were here for to answer your questions :-)

Firstly, I've never heard of a build up of smegma itself stopping retraction so I think we can discard that one, even though there is likely to be a build up there if you haven't managed to clean.

What stretching have you been doing? And can you describe this red-rash like line in more detail, like how long is it and where abouts is it located (under side, top)?

I understand your reservations about seeing a urologist, but sometimes you just have to do it to help yourself. I was in a very similar situation to you (twice), I kept putting off visiting the doctors, then wished I'd gone sooner.

Anyway, if you can get back to me with the further details there might be some things you can try yourself.

Regards.

From England actually, so yeh those measurements will do fine :-D

It sounds like you pulled it back too far in one go and that resulted in this line. Generally when you do the stretching, you should go gently and take your time to avoid things like that.

However, I don't want to take a guess on that and recommend you carry on the stretching in case there is an underlying issue we don't know about here or if its weakened your foreskin in any way so that stretching wouldn't be a good idea.

I'd like to refer you to an acquaintance of mine, who is a doctor who specialises in conservative phimosis treatments. I dont think I'm allowed to post web addresses here, so do a google search for a Dr Peter Ball at NORM-UK and send him an email explaining your situation. He'll talk to you over email so theres no need to show anybody it or have to tell any family that you don't want to.

All the best, and keep in touch I'm interested in whether this makes any difference to the course of treatment.

Dont worry brow...I am a student of medicine and had seen lots of cases of phimosis (unable to retract the fireskin) it is condition comonly found in 10/10000 individual...due to the phimosis the foreskin cant be retracted so there may be accumulation of smega which may useually present as small nodules around glance.. I will suggest u to aplly common lubricant which are available over the medical store and u have to apply it over u r penis and have to move it to and frow....useuslly the fireskin get retracted after some time... If it dosent help then u have to go for circumcision...

Phimosis is not a disease. It does not require treatment. It not smegma that prevents retraction. It is a narrow tip on your foreskin.

To start you may wash under your foreskin without retracting. It is really easy to painlessly clean out your foreskin without retracting it. Here are two ways:

1. Urine is a sterile substance when it leaves the body so it is an excellent washing agent. Pinch the tip of your foreskin shut when you pee. Let the urine fill up your foreskin. You will see your foreskin balloon because of the urine inside. Then release the tip and all of the urine inside your foreskin will come gushing out and clean out whatever is inside. This is best done in the shower as it tends to be messy.

or

2. Get a rubber bulb ear syringe from a drug store, pharmacy, or chemist’s shop. These are designed to squirt warm water into ear canals to clean them out. They also work great for cleaning out foreskins. Fill the ear syringe with warm (not hot) water and then insert the tip of the syringe into your foreskin. Then squeeze the bulb and a jet of warm water will squirt into your foreskin and clean out whatever is inside.

Don’t use soap inside your foreskin because soap dries out the skin oils essential for good health.

Now that you have it washed out, you see that you still cannot retract your foreskin. Do not worry. You are normal for your age.

It is not absolutely necessary to have a foreskin that will retract. Some men live their entire lives with a non-retractable foreskin. They can masturbate, have penetrative sex, get married, and father children with a foreskin that does not retract. Some believe that a penis with a tight foreskin has more sensation and that sex is better. However there is no scientific evidence one way or the other.

It depends on just how tight your foreskin is. If it is really tight and absolutely won't retract, then you can have penetrative sex without pain. On the other hand, if it just a little bit tight, then it is likely to be forced back during sex and that will hurt because it is tight.

Almost all boys are born with a foreskin that does not retract. This is normal. It takes years for the ability to retract to develop. About ½ of boys have a retractable foreskin by 10.4 years of age. Many adolescents still have foreskins that have tips that are too narrow to pass back over the penis head. These foreskins may be gently stretched over a period of time to cause them to widen.

It is normal for teens to have a foreskin that does not retract. One’s foreskin is still developing. One can help it develop by stretching it.

When your penis is erect, gently pull your foreskin back against the head of the penis. As the head attempts to pass through the foreskin it will stretch the skin a little. Do this every day and in a few weeks or months your foreskin will widen and you will be able to retract your foreskin. Do NOT force retraction. Do NOT cause yourself pain.

It works by tissue expansion. Stretching skin induces “mitosis” which is a word that means “division of cells”. New skin cells are formed and the skin expands but it takes some time. The increase in size is permanent. Be patient and give mitosis time to work.

The important thing is to put the skin under tension every day so that it will grow wider.

It is never necessary to be circumcised. Non-retractile foreskin is not a reason to get a circumcision. Circumcision is a very destructive, damaging, and harmful operation. Furthermore, it is an ELECTIVE operation that in only done with the consent of the patient.

Hmmm phimosis can cause problems though. Inability to clean under the foreskin can lead to smegma and bacterial buildup -- balanitis and infections can occur. When in doubt, get checked out. Once the issue is resolved, maybe use a lotion like Man1 Man Oil to keep skin smooth and prevent bacterial buildup.

Phimosis, frenulum breve and tight foreskin due to build up of smegma are all different cases. A urologist or a general surgeon can advice on.
