I had surgery at the age of 14. There was a tumor, ovary, and fallopian tube removed. I am now 28 years old, have had an ultra sound for medical reasons and was told that there actually was a tube there. filled with scar tissue. Creating a passage way for blood and fluid... So this is true? In the surgery report it states that the tube was taken out. Im very curious to know if im in that 2% range of the chances of it happening.

Hi Michelle,

It seems unlikely for one reason, where does the tube attach to?

One end would normally attach to the uterus and the other the ovary.  If the ovary was removed where does it attach to create a passageway?  Is it just the remnants of a tube?  That would be more likely.

Sometime a fallopian tube can reattach after a tubal ligation but normally scar tissue would obstruct any flow.

Your surgeon/doctor should be able to give you more information.
