I have underwent lateral internal sphincterotomy and fissurectomy for chronic anal fissure and stricture resection using anoplasty for narrowing of anal canal due to fibrosis. Before surgery there was pain during bowel movements, obstructed defecation and also skin tags due to fissure and bleeding sometimes. It's 2weeks after surgery there is no pain and itching, no bleeding. From last 3 days there has been some sticky pus like white yellowish fluid that is coming from anus. I am taking sitz bath three times a day and torbulk laxative as told by my surgeon. I just want to know the pus mucus discharge is it normal after lateral internal sphincterotomy and fissurectomy. Will it go away on its own? What will be time required? Please help.
