Went drinking with friends last night and after my first drink I started to get a stomach ache; Carried on thinking its been a while since I'd been out and it'd be ok. Ended up having to drink plain Lemonade for most of the night as everytime I had alcohol my stomach hurt and I felt sick! %-)

I'm not sure why and I still have stomach ache and feel sick today, any ideas why?

Hello,

I’m sure you are well over these problems now, but maybe it would be useful for someone who might read your experience and is the same situation. When my dad had laparoscopic gallbladder removal, we were advised to keep his diet as “fluid” as possible. I’m pretty sure that it certainly does contribute to the frequent urination problem.

The nausea, however, persisted much longer and when we realized that traditional methods didn’t help much, we asked our family physician about what is going on. As she explained, when the gallbladder is removed, the bile that is still produced in the liver now constantly goes to stomach which simply isn’t used to this. Dad got the prescription for Zofran and it did help.
But, as far as headaches and body aches are concerned, he didn’t complain much (that doesn’t mean he didn’t feel lousy, but he’s just like that). Maybe it is just your body still recovering.
