I have suffered from different types of stomach aches my entire life.
when i was younger (from when i can remember until about 11) i suffered from bad UTIs and my right kidney is slightly damaged. When I was in my final year of high school I suffered from stomach pains in my upper middle abdomen plus a variety of other symptoms and had quite a number of ultrasounds (which only came up with mild liver damage) until i had a endoscopy which revealed a hiatus hernia which i treat with nexum when i have symptoms (generally during stressful moments and after eating spicy curried foods)
but i still get stomach aches. and for the last 12 or so months i have had unexplained stomach aches unrelated to them both.
i have stomach aches which move but are generally very stabbing like on the left middle side or upper right side (random im sorry) but they come and go, with no matter that i can seem to work out. sometimes (including right now) the pains can be so bad that breathing hurts
on top of the stomach pains, i am am continually feeling anaemic, my concentration levels are erratic, recently my hair has started to fall out or its so dry and brittle its snapping (i havent worked out which yet - im leaning towards the latter), but its always been quite hard to maintain with its dryness (and im very interested in keeping it looking good!) my tongue has teeth marks in it and is pale pink in colour. i struggle getting up flights of stairs and get quite breathless rather quickly - i dont do a lot of exercise, but i should be fitter then that. im always dehyradted and drink a lot of water and teas. i have serious constipation most of the time, my poo is light in colour (generally) its soft and many times filled with mucus, sometimes its more mucus then poo. i sometimes even feel quite nauseous after i poo. im always bloated, especially after having a day filled with eating foods like breads and pastas. and i seem to be getting pins and needles very easily.
i did however go on a detox diet which forced me to quit eating milk products (something i dont generally eat a lot of milk products as i am intolerant to heavy lactose products - milk cream some cheeses) gluten products, caffeine alcohol and processed foods. and also to drink lemon tea in the morning. this was AMAZING - (i recomend everyone try it!) i felt alive, and bizarrely, like i have never felt so amazing in my entire life, i had energy i didnt realise i had, i woke up not feeling tired - my fatigue left, i was not irrated or stressed - i didnt even know i was stressed and irratated all the time before i did this diet. i was generally feeling so much better. i did this for a month and stopped after that period (its a rather difficult diet to keep!)
i went to a different doctor recently who told me to eat more fibre and drink more water - that i had IBS. this was insulting, as i mentioned earlier im always dehyradted and drink a lot of water. i am also very concious of my constipation and eat a lot of high fibre foods - which doesnt always seem to help. he also said the other symptoms (minus the poo symptoms) where unrelated. he gave me ultracet for the pain. it doesnt seem to help and only makes me dizzy
i am sick of being sick! if anyone out there has had similar symptoms or maybe able to offer me some guidence please please help. i am putting myself back on the detox but i would really like some answers or even other ideas on how i can feel better
i am so desperate!

Your situation sounds really frustrating - although I'm glad you've been able to find some relief with changing your diet (the 'detox')
Have you already investigated functional medicine or naturopathy? Functional medicine practitioners look at what your body's doing that needs fixing, and help you find the right raw materials to support it while it heals itself. Sometimes functional medicine practitioners are also medical doctors, sometimes they're naturopaths. If you want to look into it further, google 'functional medicine practitioner' for your area.
Does this help?

Hello ive read your story and I want to say what a trip youve been on. My suggestion might be instead of heading to the doctor for more diognostics why not try to face the healer of all problems. Whatever religion you believe in. Truely go back to it, or maybe just pray to the all mighty above for guidance. Sometimes having that much more faith of religion and true religion can make life that much more bareable and hopefully eventually feel numb where pain used to be.
