I have found lately for whatever reason that I seem to get somewhat uptight and nervous about being in a quiet setting where there are other people around. Nervous that my stomach is going to make noises and be embarassing. It seems that this happens even when I'm not hungry at all or have any bloating. My stomach will make noises just out of no where. And I can't control it. But I don't seem to notice a thing at all when I'm in a noisy setting. I seem to be more relaxed and my mind isn't even thinking about this problem. I dont know if I actually do have something wrong with my stomach, or is it just a case of if you sit there and think its going to happen, its more then likely going to happen. How can I get my mind off of this and get back to my normal self? How did I even get like this is what I really want to know. Its really annoying. Hope someone can help me out here.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i have had this "problem" for years. i wish i could eat like most people and not be preoccupied by such an embarrassing thing! i too avoid quiet social situations and my life has suffered becasue of it. my stomach noises has dictated which jobs i take, which activities i choose for my social life, classes in school. it feels so unfair to have a physical symptom dominate so much of my thinking/time.
i would give a great deal if anyone had a pill or supplement to take to quiet my noisy stomach. any solutuions as yet?
thanks,

Well there is Alka-Seltzer. It is great for this kind of problems. My father is been using it for some time now and it has really help him. So I would suggest you to try it. Try avoiding foods like beans and similar, that make gases in your stomach.
Keep us posted on your condition, has it improved even a little.
