suboxone drug tests

i was on suboxone for almost a year.i took it like i was supposed and when i tried to get off them it was worse then getting off oxy contin,the withdraws last 2months longer and they are more painfull.i couldnt sleep for almost a month..if this will help its better off to try to stop cold turkey...the goverment gives these drugs to make money..they dont wanna help..thats why one suboxone pill cost 11dollars...and only 3 kinds of insurances pay for them...i hope this helps....

I have also been on suboxone for a few years.. I am on 24 mg a day.. i am in Drug court and have to test weekly.. the suboxone never showed up on my tests that got sent to a lab but I took an at home drug screen. it was a 12 panel test. it tested for opiates and oxy.. the Suboxone did show up as Oxy on the at home test but did not show up as an opiate.... I say it again. It did show up as Oxy on the home test but not the lab....

If you're doing an at home drug test, then you don't know for sure. I'm on suboxone and I have a p.o. I've passed every drug test that came my way, except for one two weeks ago. I tested positive for oxy's and it's been seven months since I've had an oxy. The p.o. sent my test away to a lab and it came back clean. My p.o. said that sometimes you get a false positive. If that wasn't the case, she would've tossed me back in jail. I believe those at home drug screens offer a lab review and it's free if there was a false reading. I don't know your child's biological father so I can't tell you if he's telling you the truth or not, but I can say that I tested positive for oxy when I was strictly on suboxone.

Suboxone DOES NOT show up on a regular Drug test. You have to have a SPECIAL DRUG TEST just for THAT!! I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. So if yours or someone you love comes positive for Narcotics, Cocaine, Heroine, etc. then they are lying & using. But don't just take my advice---CALL YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL, Your FAMILY DOCTOR, ETC. I'm sure they will tell you the same! Good Luck ALL !

i have been on suboxone for 3 months now. i must say it has saved my life and my family.but like the person said before you have to be ready to get right first!!! if yourt not it will just be a pacifier.a short fix.if you are than you will do good. it really works. i just say one thing try to start off with a dose less than what your dr. SAYS AND SEE IF IT WORKS alot of times they think everybody is the same.i was told to take 3 8's a day and i got by with one a day and cut my recovery in half.good luck to all it works if you want it!

i drug test people for a living. suboxone shows up as buprenorphine. it should be out of your system in 3-5 days.

I do agree with all of you smart people who get their conclusions from first, research, and second logic, helps...Yeah Kat 21 your hubby's still doin Oxy's, but thats just rediculous, i hope u dont just not trust him around your kid just cuz he does oxy's but more so than none i bet hes a good father, most of us opiate addicts are, we are out there in the masses and there are opiate addicts that live totally normal lives that have family and kids and are great fathers and sucessful swingin penises and tits,((you know who you are, we the few the proud, the enlightened, kinda like the marines, but not complete tools, just a lil bit)) u wouldn't even notice we were on drugs unless youve had experience with a reckless addict and a fiend, its all about moderation folks, the good ol' Doc says a QP a day keeps the monkey of the back, or something along those lines, lol, i hope that ur judging your husband on character and past experiences and not just the fact that hes like everybody else and enjoys a lil buzz of the prescription meds. i hate the types that treat an opiate addict like a child that cant even wipe their own ass (thats usually just the tar shooters, thats where the knods are constant and not when ur just relaxin on the couch, "a danger to themselves those black tar IV'in folks are" -Master Yoda been there done that, past out and knocked myself unconscious while walking in the bathroom and slamming my head on the toilet seat, i even fractured the bowl a lil, amazing huh? lol)) its just a lil harder to quit than all those other vices out there, except for dirty asain h****rs, i broke the opiate habit, but im just not ready to put down the prostitution trade economy. well there it is, rambling of a Box recover'ee, I actually have a 5 panel drug test today and im not worried cuz the smart folk of the forum are right and Bupe has to be tested specifically to fail, and im pretty sure its  only the 12 panel drug test that test for Bupe, so if your not an astronaut or working for the government or the communist, i wouldn't worry about it...sh*t take a does before u go, it wont make a f**k, cuz your most likely taking a 5 or 7 panel drug screening, the rule of thumb is if ur on box and your worried about taking a drug test and failing, if your not applying for a job that pays you over 80 grand, than you dont gotta worry bout it if Box is all your taking, cuz with my experience most places including the Ol' P.O. standard test, their all to f*****g CHEAP to wanna spend the money to get a 12 panel screening...and yeah, im a lil crazy if your wondering, and i can punctuate and for complete sentences, but its a f*****g forum who cares, as long as its readable

I was taking oxy and I also started At the methadone clinic but I went there for suboxone but it was expensive and very inconvenient I don't have insurance so my friend gives me suboxone I have a drug test for a casino and in really scared I'm going to fail I'm afraid to stop taking suboxone but I really need this job. I only take about 1/4 to 1/2 of and 8mg suboxone a day does anyone know if I will be tested for this? I have researched it over and over but can't really find out for sure an answer

I will Tell You straight out with 100% assurance that IF HE TESTED POSITIVE IN A HOME TEST .. HE IS ON SOMETHING OTHER THAN SUBOXONE! I'm sorry to have to tell you this but i also want to be honest when there is a child involved......My advice to you would be to  please know he is using again and consider  giving him the ultimatum to get into a good treatment program or you wont trust him.....

Yes this is true i used two test from a dr office and took nothing but suboxone for the past month it showed up as opiate.

I Would have to agree with you on this post, for one thing if bupernorphine was an opiate there would be no way it could be combined with naloxone, or it would make you sick as a dog. Since the fact that bupernorphine does not matabalize in your system into morphine as all other simisynthetic and natural opiates do it is able to be combined to Suboxone. So there for I would agree that yes you would have to have a special test to detect for suboxone. I will find this out soon from personal experience though.

You are wrong, I took a test today and it showed positive for Oxy. It was a test readily available at Walgreens and I was not happy when the positive showed up. I am under doctors care for opiate use and have been off for 90 days thanks to Subsoxone!!! I have not needed to take any other opiate since my doc helped me by prescribing Subsoxone. I just wish it did not show up on this 12 panel screen. I bought the screen just to check what my test would show if I had to take one.

I don't think that Suboxone shows up on a regular drug tests most jobs and courts use it has to be tested on its own. I just got a federal job and I have been on Suboxone for 3 months and it didn't show up for my drug screen at all. but on the other hand 3 days after I started Suboxone treatment my mom got emergency custody of my kids. I went to court today and I was told I couldn't have my kids back until I was off Suboxone but I am in a clinic and it is prescribed to me. So none of this makes sense to me and makes me mad I feel like I am being discriminated against because I was an addict. Does anyone know if that's really legal?

Absolutely true. I'm in a suboxone program now and they test every 2 weeks. The test for opiates always comes up negative because I'm not using opiates. After they test for the opiates they take a dip stick that tests specifically for suboxone and that's how they know for sure that you have been taking it rather than selling it. So I'm sorry to say that your husband has been using opiates and not just is prescribed suboxone.
