My husband and I have been on methadone maintenance for 12 years. Last Friday we switched from 30mgs of methadone to suboxen, went into immediate precipitated withdrawal, the first four days were hell. We are now on day eight, still feel lousy and are considering switching back but are terrified that withdrawal symptoms will come back due to the narcan in the suboxen. Does anyone know if the switch is possible at this point, we are truly lost and on the edge of using for the first time in 12 years.
