Indeed the doc does want u to stay on them. I'm on day 12. Feel ok except armpit sweats and it's f*****g winter.lol using a motion sense deodorant with anti perspirant helps keep sweating down and also moving. Staying active and not thinking about it the best u can. It sucks but throughout the days it gets better. Keep ur head up.

Bro i got off suboxone tapered down from 24mg to .5mg over about 4 or 5 weeks, i dont really remember being too sick but i was uncomfortable for a couple weeks, but the faucets in my armpits didnt stop for 6 months. I ended up going back on suboxone bc i never went away i had to have a roll of paper towels with me at work and everywhere i went otherwise my shirt would be soaked within the hour. And i had to change out the paper towels like every 40 minutes. Im getting off suboxone again now...i hope it went away for you i know this post is old

I've dealt with this too... twice. Apparently, didn't learn the lesson the first time IDK. I've found a few things over the counter to help with WDs, nothing is 100% though. DXM (cough syrup) and Loperamide (Imodium), both help with all of the opioid withdrawals. This includes the hyperhidrosis.
Don't go back on Buprenorphine or any other opioid... I know the sweating, RLS, hot/cold flashes, etc. suck, but it is only temporary. PAWS symptoms can take quite some time to be fully alleviated, especially after taking buprenorphine for an extended period.

You obviously have never been in withdrawal, let alone from suboxone. I’m on day 30 and I still have several symptoms of withdrawal. Your timeline for suboxone is WAY off. Most withdrawals don’t even start until 3 to 4 days after your last dose.

Ladybugg: I don't know if you were able to get off your Subutex or not, I HOPE SO, but just in-case, I wanted to share with you what I've gone through, am going through, my tricks, and a bit of hope (without turning into an NA meeting). I too had been on a similar dosage of Subutex from a criminal doctor for FAR TOO LONG! Essentially 10 years, though a far FAR lower dose to start, only to ween myself UP to +/-4mg/day. I finally had enough of enough this year and I suppose I made it a "New Years resolution", mind I've wanted to quit for 4+ years, but after 72hrs max, having access to more Subutex at my house always made me cave.

LIKE YOU, it was the F'ing DREADED RLS/leg aches (especially at night! BLOODY MISERABLE) that ALWAYS made me give-up by day 3-4. Now, this first tip is NOT NA-kosher, but the ONLY THING that stopped my night sweats and cold clammy daytime sweats was Medical M.J. If you're trying to avoid that, Clonidine is supposed to be very effective for clamminess for those of us who REFUSE more Bup/Methodone... I'm fixing to talk to my psych doc about Clonidine Monday, which will be my 21 day anniversary into detoxing, because the only symptom I have now is goosebumps/day sweats, but I'm a writer and MJ doesn't gel with me before sitting down to think at my computer.

Now, for my experience, and the GLORIOUS MEDICINE that helped me cope through the first week of those DREADED CRAMPS: Gabapentin!!!!!! Everyone's different, but for me 2700-3600mg made LIFE BEARABLE! Slept like a baby, and if I woke-up with more cramps, I took another dose. Like many, I slept 20+ hrs the first week.

Not to say OBVIOUSLY, but also HOT SHOWERS were part of my nightly ritual while I waited for Gabapentin to kick-in. No better natural remedy for BOTH clammy feeling/RLS!

All this in-mind, I'm very much an outlier, as it took a full 48-72 of abstinence before withdrawal really even set-in, so I hope the thought of a week of muscle-cramps isn't discouraging to you! All "literature" states 72 hours to a week for most acute physiological Bup. withdrawal to "cease", and I mainly had just gastro symptoms the second week.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!! My personal key for success has been my amazing Mum having me with her during this period, so I can't stress family support enough. I've done rehab but not in-patient detox, and if not for my D.O. mommy, my psychiatrist, and the medical MJ I used HEAVILY my first two weeks, I would have HAD to do in-patient detox.

This is the occasion I cannot stress enough "ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!"

You are AMAZING for wanting to quit! I also think a rapid-taper could serve you well until you are comfortable enough for cold turkey. AGAIN, you can do this!
