Hi My name is Bruce, presently I am on Suboxone but only on 2mg/0.5, Ive been on that dose for now maybe a month. I came off of methadone but the withdrawls were really bad. My doctor thinks I am takeing 2 films a day, but I am only takeing one, half in the morning and half in the evening and I really feel OK. but eventually since my dose is low , I'm going to wean myself off very slowly. But one thing that I have learn from all the post is to keep on this low dose and don't exceed what I'm on because the high the dose the harder it will be to come off. thanks for your post. email me, love to hear from you.

Not sure when you have viewed this last- but WOW if I have not just read my worn story- for the most part!!! I recently have stopped the Suboxone after waaaaay too long(6 yrs)- and I am just adjusting to not having to take ANYTHING to feel normal- I love it!!! But it's different and scary!!! :-) Very wonderful to know I'm not alone!!!

I thank you and God. Today is day 21. My story is long like everyone else, was on oxycodone for 9 years didn't realize what I was going threw was withdrawl, thought something else was wrong with me so the only thing that made me feel better or normal was oxy. I then was on suboxine for 14months. It also would make me feel good enough to function. The last 2 to 4 months on less than 1mg a day, after I read your story I finally figured it out, then just stopped. Your day by day has been almost exactly like mine. The one problem I am still having is sleeping. Don't want to get hooked on ambian, so I'm having restless nights and skipping it as much as I can. From talking to a friend with same issues looks like I have another 10 days or so before sleep gets back to normal. As you are aware I am almost home free. It's like welcome back, back to life! I am truly blessed to have read your story, might have saved my life. I am a father of 3, and happily married for 20 years, also been able to make a great living through all this. No telling where I might have ended up without seeing your story. Thanks so much you are a true angle! Bill

The medical community I'm sure can come up with some type of medication that can help a person come off of Suboxone etc, without a lot of bad withdrawals. If a company can come up with a product like " Withdrawal Ease", I am sure something can be done about coming off Suboxone. However, when it comes to money and you being sick, folks just don't care and that is the truth, money for them comes first. As long as you are paying that co-pay or they can bill your insurance, they don't care and they want you to stay on this product because you are paying the bills. peace

I was taking 120-150 mgs. of oxycontin for about a year. Ran out and went int 7 days of WD hell. I recently was put on Suboxone by a Dr. that said I could stay on them for years. I stayed on 8-16 mgs for 6 months and then weaned myself to 4 a day and jumped off. I was expecting the hell of opiate WD but never got it. I had some symptoms but a great deal lighter than with the oxy WD. I have heard of others not having horrible WD from subs and I guess that just points out the difference in body chemistry.
