SUBOXONE WITHDRAWLS SO SO BAD!!

I would love to talk to you privately if possible ..I'm wanting to get off suboxen, but so afraid. Horror stories I've read.. if you want to chat. I'm 49, married woman, and no one knows how bad I am.

Does anyone ever post on here?  I am seeign that Dr Velasco, and I am supposed to have an appt on Thurs, I have my meds to last til Sat, but she is not returning my calls, I have left about 4 calls.  I am freaking out that she is just going to abandon me.  My boyfriend just found out about my habit and is pissed enough about the money I spent let alone I didnt tell him I was takign something (suboxone) to help me.  I feel lost and alone. I need to find a support group, but I just dont have time, and I need to make time.  Does anyone post on here anymore?  In the Schaumburg area with a new doc?  Any info would be wonderful!!

Hey everyone. I hope someone is still reading these posts because I could really use some advice. I've been on the suboxone sublingual film for 2 years. I started out at 8 mg and my doctor has been lowering me down slowly. I am now on 2 mg a day. Getting from 3 to 2 was really hard. It's been over a month and I still feel like c**p. Sweating cold, irritability, pain, irritability. ;-) I want to go cold turkey in a few weeks and am wondering if I will have as bad withdrawals as I've heard some people talk about on here at only 2 mg a day. Is it going to be any different than going from 3 to 2 or worse? Does going completely off of it make it worse than cutting back 2 mg from 8? Please let me know and also what will help with the withdrawals? Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Subuxone is absolute horrible detox drug. Some Dr's and addicts disagree. When I first got on it I would snort if and it was great. We would get an incredible high from snorting half a pill with a Xanax or Valium. I never did heroin just scripts so I was absolutely stunned when my Dr told me I had heroin in my system. He gave me my daily drug test when I got my refill and told me there was heroin in my urinaliasis. That is absolutely impossible cause I never took heroin. I had only taken some Vicodin and subuxone. Subuxone is 1000 x stronger then heroin. I do not recommend anyone ever go on subuxone if you eve want your life back just go cold turkey. My withdraws from subs was Atleast 8 weeks, the first 3 weeks I did not sleep at all, I thought I was going to die from not sleeping. It felt as if I was going completely mad. It was 1000 x worse then any other pill or anything I had ever tried to come off of.. Stay away from this poison. Reckitt and benkisser the manufacturer of subuxone only makes cleaning products. They do not make anything but cleaning products and subuxone?? Sounds crazy to me it's not even a drug making company but a cleaning products making company? What is that all about? Subs are poison. Better off staying away...

Sorry you are going through this. I went down the vicodin/laurtab road for almost 20 years. Last March I said I just couldn't do it anymore.I went in rehab and got on 32mg a day of suboxone. After about 10 days I started weaning myself off of it. The doctors seem like they want you to stay on it.I weaned down to 2mg a day over a few months. I am scared to totally get off of it. But I know it's in my head,I really don't even think that amount does much of anything. But it scared me when I was in rehab there were as many people in there to get off of suboxone as there was to get off of pain pills.Anyway, good luck to you. Hang in there.

Crazy. Suboxone was easy compared to methadone and oxycodone. I would pick suboxone withdrawal over any. Klonopin was one of the worst. Physical and extremely mental, like you go crazy mental. Suboxone helped me get off drugs. I was on it for 2 1/2 years along with klonopin and adderall and I did it cold turkey. The only thing I weaned myself off was klonopin with Ativan. I slept for seven days straight which in reality what more could you ask for when your withdrawaling? Then the Ativan wore off and I was a mess. I lost forty pounds was near death. Still to this day I don't get my period don't just starting to get four hours of sleep at night tired and have heart palpitations . But I'm happy cuz my brain is not going insane and my body does feel 100x better than being on all those drugs. If I can do it anyone can. Don't feel sorry for yourself you made your bed so sleep in it ( or don't) but it took a while to get in this miss give yourself time to get out.

I think ur right!! It is easier than other opiates 2 withdraw from! I stayed on it just over a year & I really wish I'd found this forum b4 I started it so I didn't stay on 4 so long! It's done now though & I'm glad coz it got me off methadone! I'm 5wks off the subs 2day & even though the W/D weren't as bad They last alot longer! I'm still not sleeping at night & I feel like I have the flu,lots of sneezing!!! Music really helped me get off my ass!! AND I know (trust me) how u feel like u don't want 2 really do anything especially shower but I forced myself & I'm so glad I did coz it makes u feel a million times better! Simple I know but I didn't want 2 go in the bath/shower or even change my clothes 4 the 1st week YUK Also I've not had a hard stool since stopping :/ Soz abit much info But all these things r manageable I keep telling myself its a cold/flu I have!! If u really want 2 stop u should!! It might take a couple of months 2 feel 100% I'm hoping anyway But I abused drugs & my body for alot of years so it won't be overnight 4 it 2 heal!!

everyone is different id**t !!! Some people, younger people, might be able to come down off it easier than others. Some people may not ever be able to come off Sox without having a serious risk of relapsing to their former drug of choice. From reading these posts, it is truly amazing how people will allow a team fo doctors to prescribe them multiple Benzos and OP's and then they wonder what happened.

I've been on 2 suboxone for 9 months!! And I've been tapering down now!! I am involved in narcotics. Anonymous , u can't share your story or run meetings!!? I only got on this for a short time and everyone knew it!! I am now one I piece and I feel not that bad !! This is what I started on (8mg/2mg dissolving film!! I hope can help someone with this if you do it right u won't feel like you are going to die!!! Between 17-30 is when I used very hard on heroine and pills methadone try going to jail and how to quit { good turkey} hope this can help someone if u want to come off do it slowing!!!

It is great,but just don't try to get off of it, I was on suboxone for 5 years and had to get off for surgery, It was horrible ,wish I would not have ever been on it that long, it is a short term drug only, believe me, I know!
