i get these pains about 2-3 times a day and i am a 15 year old kid. They last for about 5-6 seconds and it is a sharp stabbing pain to the point to where i almost collapse. Any ideas of help on the matter.

Sometimes it happen due to a lot of stress but i recommend that you should go to doctor ASAP. It is also symptoms of brain tumor so be careful about it.

hi i am new on this site, i have exact same as u, its had me very worried for sometime now :( all of a sudden its like a big needle stabbing me in my head, almost always the right side around back of ear and the temple, i went to the doc before and they asked had i got kids and i said yes and she told me it was stress, this annoyed me because it could happen at my most relaxed time, i am happy it seems to b fairly common so im not as worried now, hope u feel better soon. and hope we all find out what this is, ur the first person that explained it EXACTLY how i feel. all the best x

Hi i live in ireland too and ur pain is exact same as mine! my memory is also terrible and it scares me as im only 31 years old , im always embarrassed at how much i forget etc, have asked the doc but they say its stress, still v scared tho :( just wondering did you get it seen to in Korea ??? all the best x

Like I have said before look up the Trans Geminal nerve on google, that is what appears to be the nerve fireing off, and scaring the xxxx out of most of us. I have had two MRI's of the head and talking a couple times with a neurologist, they find NOTHING. They say if it stays around too long and too frequent then they dont want to, but they can put you on seizure medicine. My biggest problem is I have been dealing with this since 1976, once a day, every third day, once a week, sleeping or stressed it never really matters, but the worse part is it always leaves me thinking with some anxiety for a few minutes, "is this the big one" because if it last for than just a couple seconds if even that, I couldnt tell you what I would do to terminate the pain.

Delighted to hear nothing showed up and that it's nothing serious , u write the exact same things I'm thinking ! Everytime I get a dart in my head I think " oh god is this gonna make me collapse " is this d big one! Everyone keeps telling me oh ur just stressed! Which drives me mad as it don't matter if I'm totally relaxed or really stressed it just comes on randomly ! Hopefully it will b ok , I'm gonna google that now , thank you, take care .

I am a oligo brain tumor surviver and i hope and pray it never comes back but I am very scared of what I have been feeling in my head lately. Get it checked out to be safe if you havent but just so you know yours and my symptoms are nothing alike but anybody knows the same issue can effect one person different from the other person. The pain you described sounds hundred times worse than mine. I hope every things well and you are in the best of health. Good luck

I just went to the doctor yesterday. My experieince with this is a shooting pain from the ear up into the top part of the head. The pain comes about every minute or so with varying degrees of strength but all are painful enough to make me close my eyes and drop my head. It only lasts for about a second and it goes away as fast as it came. Unfortunately, I only had to wait about a minute for the next one to hit. My doctor offer very little in terms of what the cause is but suggested I take Tylanol, (not Advil as that may raise blood presuure), along with applying a heating pad to the affected ear. Within 30 minutes of doing both these things the pain subsided quite a bit. Necer truly went away but is much, much more manageable. I have gotten this many time throughout my life and I know it will last about 2-3 days so for now I "grin" and bear it. So-to-speak! Good luck. It would be nice if a doctor could actually confirm what this really is but reading all the blogs, no one has a doctor that has provided any better explanation.

Vitamin Water has the serving size on the back, sometimes vitamin C can be too much and at 120% if you are not used to it can cause headaches and surges. Ahh i have the same problem! but its on the left and right side of my head and it will hurt for a few seconds or even minutes!! it feels as if someone is squeezing my head or something, does anyone have any suggestion's how to help it or make it go away? :(
