One has to be very careful. Some doctors will tell patients anything to get them to consent to a circumcision, because of the large fee they charge for a circumcision.

Hi,
I am facing the same problem with glans hypersensitivity as you and then I came across your water therapy - which helped you. I had a query - how long did it take to desensitise the glans using this method.

Hello all,
This thread has been going on for a while! I was never told to try and pull the foreskin back as a child and as a result i didnt know that it had to come back at all. I had my own way of masturbating and didnt know if i was doing it right. I went to the docter who said i had phismosis. He said i had to get a circ. I got it yesterday and i dont really know how to feel. I wouldnt say my glans is hyper sensitive, but it does give me a bit of a shock if i accidently touch it.
Feels like i have been kicked in the balls. Got an erection while sleeping, good news is it didnt hurt my stiches but i didnt want to try touch the glans.
I feel as though i cant handle pain very well so i am not looking forward to try and desensitize my glans.
Not sure about the stiches, do they just drop out or do i have to do something to them (pull them out). I am just going to wait a while longer to seem if things get better. A bit of swelling as i expected. Looks a bit scary but after reading some of the posts on here that is common.
I know i probably wont get a response, but im just putting my story out there. It feels a bit better knowing that i am not alone in this situation.
I only pray that this turns out well for me.
BTW i am 15 living in Aus.

First of all, don't despair, there are plenty of guys who have been cird'd and they all survived as far as I know.
We all react differently to surgery. When I had a vasectomy the cuts were only about 1/4 inch on each side but my balls swelled up like a baseball and turned black and blue. Think of the size of the piece of skin they cut off and imagine how it would feel to cut a piece that size out of your body anywhere and have it sewed up.
I'm quite sure you will be happy with the results after any pain goes away. You're head will become used to being exposed and you will even enjoy being able to touch and rub it. I am not circ'd but I did desensitize my glans many years ago. Ever since then I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to rub my bare glans to masturbate, so you are in for a treat after a while.
The doctor should have told you about the stitches but I would say they will probably come out by themselves since he/she didn't.
They used to circ boys to keep them from masturbating. I think they couldn't have more wrong about that. If my head was newly exposed, I'd be playing with it all the time.
So enjoy your new style.

It's Conall again, i'm 11 days in here, and although I'm a little more comfortable with the operation I still have to wear padding around the glands so that I can walk about. I can't touch the head at all, but i'm determined to try the water therapy today in the bath. Another thing, even wearing padding now is horrible, when I have to use the toilet, taking the padding off is a nightmare, the tip of my penis sticks to the material, and I have to either gently try and pry it off, or hope that it rips off while i'm urinating.
One more thing, should I be able to clearly see stitches? I'm still not comfortable with handling my penis, but i have tried to retract the skin to see the stitches, and I can't?Nightly erections are still horrific, I can only get a few hours sleep at night before they start to come on, every half hour; then I just have to face it and get up.
I'm only offering because I know i definitely want to know how some of the earlier posters are getting on now, i'm really worried.

This post was not only extremely helpful and comforting but also very amusing, some of your experiences sound like real saw-like stories. Im trying to desensitize my glans cause its way to sentitive, i cant even understand why or how guys enjoy blowjobs and handjobs so much, for me it was always so painful as girls usually tend to bare the glans and suck on it.
I wasnt able to expose my glans for a long time because of the tighness of my foreskin and it wasnt until I started having sex at 17 (im 19 now) that I could for the first time fully see my glans. From then on that problem started dying out until I was able almost without a problem to push back the foreskin.
Sex was never painful as long as it was strictly vaginal. As soon as someone tried to put my bare penis in their mouth or grab it I would make up an excuse and do something else because it was simply horrid.
Today is my first day and its efing hell on earth for me. Ill try to keep on doing it, if I hold on, Ill reply in a few weeks with my story :P.

Your doctor was wrong. It is perfectly feasible to stretch the foreskin to get it to retract.
If you don't like it and many don't, you can look into foreskin restoration.
It is possible to extend the residual shaft skin on a circumcised penis to form a new foreskin and has been done or is being done by hundreds of thousands of men.
The decision to restore one's foreskin is a personal decision. It depends on how strong one’s feelings are about one’s unwanted non-voluntary circumcision, because foreskin restoration by tissue expansion is somewhat slow. Some men think it is worthwhile to restore and others don't think so.
Some believe that foreskin restoration goes much faster when one is young because there is more growth hormone in the body. The stretching causes tissue expansion and permanent growth of the length of your foreskin.
Foreskin restoration was known in ancient times, but the technique was lost and rediscovered in the late 20th century – about 40 years ago.
Foreskin restoration works by "tissue expansion". When traction is applied to skin to keep it under tension, the skin react by expanding to relieve the tension. New skin cells are formed and the skin under tension expands. This is a permanent increase. Cells divide to create two skin cells out of one. The process is called "mitosis".
For foreskin restoration the shaft skin is placed under longitudinal tension, which causes it to expand so as to make it longer. As the shaft skin gets longer, one starts to see little wrinkles in the skin. As elongation continues, skin will start to pile up in the coronal sulcus. Then, with increasing length, the shaft skin will start to lap over the head in a little fold. This is the start of the new foreskin. Since a double layer is needed, quite a lot of skin must be created.
Continued stretching and skin expansion will eventually cover the head of the penis with foreskin. Over the longer term, it is possible to create a foreskin that is long enough to cover the erect penis.
Foreskin restoration improves appearance. As the foreskin lengthens, the scar from the circumcision is covered over and disappears. The result is a very natural appearing foreskin that is very difficult to distinguish from a natural foreskin.
The procedure does not use drugs or surgery and the medical profession is not involved in any way. Non-surgical foreskin restoration is very safe and painless.
The restored foreskin keeps the glans penis moist and sensitive. The layer of keratin on the glans of the circumcised penis sloughs off after a period of constant coverage by the restored foreskin. The surface becomes softer to the touch.
Foreskin restoration cannot restore the frenulum, nor can it restore the heavily innervated ridged band, however, a restored foreskin does have sensation. Morever, the increased skin mobility allows better stimulation of the remaining nerves.
Foreskin restoration has beneficial sexual and emotional effects.
Foreskinned males who have inadequate short foreskins may use the same techniques to lengthen their existing foreskin.
There are now several good devices on the market to make foreskin restoration go faster.
Search the Internet for "foreskin restoration" for more information.

Circumcision is irreversible. Your foreskin can't be put back on. Did they tell you that? At this point in time, your only recourse is foreskin restoration which will take at least two years.
Adult circumcision is an elective surgical operation to injure the penis and reduce its size and sensation by cutting off the nerve-laden sexually sensitive foreskin. Adult circumcision is usually performed with a general anesthetic however local anesthetic may be used. Like all surgical operations, it has risks of hemorrhage, infection, and surgical mishap. Loss of the penis has been known to occur. Death has been known to occur.
The cost is about $2,500. Circumcision may be carried out under local or general anaesthesia.
The foreskin is a complex double-layered structure composed of smooth muscle fiber, skin, mucosa, nerves, arteries, and veins. It is natural, normal, healthy, and its possession contributes to a sense of well-being. The foreskin has protective, sensory, sexual, and immunological functions. It is loaded with nerves and is the site of most of the penile sensation. The foreskin is a “specific erogenous zone.” The foreskin is essential for normal intercourse. Foreskin provides the additional skin needed to allow for penile expansion during erection. Amputation of the foreskin, which is an integral and important part of the penis has very significant adverse sexual and emotional effects.
Nature put the foreskin there to provide at least fourteen functions:
1. to cover and bond with the synechia so as to permit the development of the mucosal surface of the glans and inner foreskin.
2. to protect the infant's glans from feces and ammonia in diapers.
3. To protect against disease causing pathogens.
4. to protect the glans penis from friction and abrasion throughout life.
5. to keep the glans moisturized and soft with emollient oils.
6. to lubricate the glans.
7. to coat the glans with a waxy protective substance.
8. to provide sufficient skin to cover an erection by unfolding.
9. to provide an aid to masturbation and foreplay.
10. to serve as an aid to penetration.
11. to reduce friction and chafing during intercourse.
12. to serve as erogenous tissue because of its rich supply of erogenous receptors.
13. to contact and stimulate the G-spot of the female partner.
14. to produce pheromones to excite the female sexual partner.
It is normal to keep the foreskin forward over the head for protection.
Circumcision is an injurious, damaging, destructive, and harmful surgical operation that cuts through nerves and blood vessels that feed blood to the penis. The operation is irreversible. You will have the rest of your life to mourn your loss of your erogenous foreskin.
The foreskin is filled with nerves that make it the most sensitive part of the human body, therefore, cutting into it is very painful.
It takes about six weeks to recover from an adult circumcision. One should avoid getting erections. Oral ketoconazole may help to prevent postoperative erections.
One will never fully regain the lost protection, sexual function, sensation, and sexual pleasure, even if one restores the foreskin.
If you should become interested in restoring your foreskin, a search on the Internet for “foreskin restoration” will produce lots of information.

hi everyone! Its gabriel the one 2 posts ago..
Ive tried to desensitize my glans just by pulling back the foreskin every time I remember or get a chance letting it touch my underwear. It was as said almost imposible for me to bare anything touching my bare glans.
The first few days I would only be able to stand it when I was taking a shower or in my bed, completely still and then falling asleep.
After about 5 days of constantly doing that I thought I might finally be able to let my penis touch the underwear freely, and it worked, it was still very aweful but I was able at least to move "normally". The pain had gotten bareble.
The second week, as many had said before me here, was a revelation, a turning point. Now I can for the first time in my life actually touch my bare glans with my bare fingers and move them around a little without getting an overwhelming burning feeling. Its marvelous. Masturbation feels a whole lot better now that I can softly touch my glans. Its great.
I cant wait to try sex and oral sex now.
Ill continue to expose my bare glans more for a few more weeks, maybe a month or two.
Ill post the progress in other two or three weeks for those who should still be interested =)
Hope this gets to help anybody,
Gabriel.

Hey Gabriel, glad to hear you are doing well with it. Forcing my little guy to get used to being touched and then being able to massage him with my fingers was the best thing I ever did. Masturbation is sooo much better when you can rub your bare glans but still be able to cover it back up when not playing with it. I think being able to put it away when not in use is the best thing so t retains some feeling for the bare rubbing. I remember the kids when I was young who were circumcised. They seemed to have almost no feeling to their glans at all. They could still masturbate to a fun finish but I don't think they got the pleasure that I do.
I keep mine completely dry when I rub it with my foreskin held tightly back so it doesn't move at all and my fingers slide over the whole thing. It feels sooo good to be able to rub and sort of roll the glans between my thumb and fingers. As you get more used to it you will be able to apply more pressure and it will feel great. Have fun.
