Personally i wouldnt do it, if it works let me know PLEASE, i have had doctors treat these terrible things for over 20 years to find out they are not warts but corns, over that time i have had them removed by surgeons 4 times, the last time i allowed a doctor near my feet as they were caved out that bad i had them packed for 6 months with a metre of gause in each which i have 3, it truley was a nightmare having a nurse come over every day to pull out the packing and repack it as i had no skin left and had to wait for it to grow back, i have also had them frozen numerous times, lasared,picked, every sort or cream then pick again, burnt was extremly painfull the worse pain i have ever experianced dont let them stick a needle in it you will really hit the roof, to this day i have accepted them and the pain, i do not want to as im so restricted with my feet, i will keep looking incase something does pop up and it does work painlessley lol, GOOD LUCK with the adventure if you make it please tell people, especially me lol thanx for reading

Has anyone had any success with the surgery?Ive just developed corns in the last year they are horrible and I want to get them removed. Ive tried the over the counter remedy but they are not working.

I had my corns surgically removed in October 2005. Recuperating was a mess, i had to crawl around, (oh, I forgot, I got both feet done at the same time, big no no)....slide down the steps, crawl up the steps, i mean yeah i was prety high off the painkillers, but it didn't take away the pain, it just made me high. I had toes broken, corn's removed and a few months later, I was hot sh*t, but I couldn't bend my toes, it took a good while, before I could put some heels on, I think I rushed into them too fast, but soon enough, I was cursing my pedicurist out for being to rough with my feet after surgery. My toes looked great, but I did have the scars from the surgery, Mederma didn't work, Skin Therapy cream didn't work, but it looked better than the corns. hate to gas u up, but slowly but surely the corns came back, and now Im debating if I wanna go through that procedure again. my sister had hers done after seeing my results in 06, and her toes still look good (as far as not having corns) but the doctor supposedly cut down the toes next to her big toes, and they're still longer than the big toes. He said they would shrink over time. yeah rite....

My doctor suggested having both feet done at the same time, is this a good idea? How would I get around? My feet are in pain most days and I can only wear heels if I am drinking myself out of the pain.

i had a corn on my big toe, but i really want it removed, but im only 13. Is there a pediatric doctor that i can go to, because i am just a teen and i like wearing sandals, i mean like i have really pretty feet but it will just be better with out the corn on the big toe. so anybody have any suggestions? because i dont think my age will be able to get surgery or anything

oh hell sorry to hear you have the nightmare, i have had these terrible things on my feet for around 30 years i have seen every doctor in the book and had every opperation done including having them medically removed 4 times which was a waste of time and a lot of pain, since that time i have had them scraped, frozen, lazared, DO NOT HAVE THEM SURGICLY REMOVED it cannot be done the doctors will say yes i can remove that but when you wake up and look you will still see the core as i did and have to have your foot packed with 1 meter of gause pending on how big they are and how much of your foot the doctor will remove, i crawled around like a dog, for nothing, the best treatment i have found will help it feel better but wont remove it see a podiatrist and have the scraped down so you cant feel them, sorry about the bad news but its true and please trust what i am saying its from experiance

hello....i recently had 4 corns removed from my 4th and pinky toes on each foot on 4/7/10......i had an appointment the following day and my bandages were taken off and re-wrapped.....my toes had stitches on both the top and bottom......it is now 4/14/10 and i'm almost in no pain at all.....i still feel a little tenderness is my left 4th toe...mainly because i hit it the day after surgery while getting into my van...OUCHHHHHH....but i'm walking fine with my boots on....i walk a little more leveled instead of on my heels like i did at first......i get my stitches out on 4/20/10 then i can get my feet wet. I'm not sure what my podiatrist would instruct me to do then....but i can't wait. I was also made aware before surgery...that my 4th toes will not be able to bend because they were going to cut a piece of bone out the middle and fused the two bones back together....the pinkies were also going to be cut like the other toes except they weren't going to be fused...instead the space between the bones will be scare tissue. the reason being...that i need my pinkies to bend when pressed against a shoe...if not it will be very painful...but it's not necessary for your 4th toes to bend. i hope that was helpful....GOOD LUCK

i had my corns removed in 2001 and the podiatrist was a cosmetic foot doctor that makes a diffrence.he did a excellent job .some of my toes were longe and he shotened them and made everything look perfect.He cut the corn out and stiched the regular skin together.well about two yaers agao a corn grew back on the left foot.my original foot doctor noved to a new hospital outta state and i went to a new doct.she did the surgery to shaved down the bone a little and said she would remove the corn.after the blue shoe,walking funny for a month in pain and walking on cruches its still there.the corn is comimg back and i havent even fully healed.i wanna make an appointment to see her next week so i can slap the c**p outta this lady!!! i was lookin forward to wearing all my shoes this summer now i may have to find a doct to do it over.I'm even ready to cook up that ridiculous foot soup recipe the guy told us about.at this point i'm gettig desperate and summer is approaching.Is that foot soup guy serious though it sounds wierd, someone come wit something before we go to last resort please!!!

Thank you for you post, I have a few question. Who performed the surgery, a podiatrist or plastic surgeon? I went to see a podiatrist and he told that I will get a scar on my foot after the surgery. Im afraid of how big the scar would be. How long were you wearing the boot? Do you think I will be able to get on my heels in a month? (everyone is different, I understand) For the scars did you use any medication?
Do you think I should go see a different doctor?

I got my corn removed surgically on my right little toe on October 13, 2012. I still daily have severe burning/nerve pain when I wear shoes for along period of time. I wasn't in pain before the surgery. I don't know if it is because I run a lot and I am on my feet for work a lot but it is not fun.
I woudl seriously weigh your options before getting it removed. I wish I had never gotten the surgery because I am in more pain now than I ever was with the corn.
I will say the pain comes an goes week by week. Some days are better than others but it's definitely not the way I want to live.
