Slightly swollen neck (from ear down to collarbone, right side, collarbone does stick out slightly also on same side) with a unnoticeable lump deep inside near thyroid. You have to actually rubbed your hand down my neck to feel it. Its been there for 3 weeks. Slight soreness in that area of neck, no fever, no cold, no nights sweats, no weight loss and feeling tired during the day. Hasn't grown since i notice it. This all started when i had a Squamous Papillomas removed from my tonsil so a biopsy can be done. Thank God that came back benign. But ever since then all this has happened to me. The hard bone like thingy sticking out of collarbone near sternum is freaking me out a lot. Please help if any had this problem, I'm so scared. I'm 34 male, 2 kids, and 2 on the the way. Google has done everything to freak me out about the "C" word. i have a scheduled ultra sound on Feb. 7, but I'm worried. please advise if any! has had this issue and what end up happening. Thank You

NEVER Google!!! Honest you could punch in the sniffles and end up thinking you have Asian Parvineasles! LOL Tonsils - for men and older men - can be a touchy thing in deed. Where you are describing - is either the lymph nodes or the tonsils! Doctors are usually quite nervous to do anything with the tonsils, but of course if it's needed then they're out of there! I am thinking either tonsil cysts, damage fromt he removal, or an infection that hasn't presented itself as in fever, chills etc. Just let them take the ultrasound - they will probably mention to you right there and then when it looks fine, but they always have to let you talk to your doctor. Please let me know how you make out? I'm sure you are fine!

Thanks for replying and giving some words of wisdom. Ive driven my wife crazy thinking i got cancer cause of this hard as a bone sticking out of clavicle. I finally got appt. with my ENT tomorrow afternoon. So hopefully that can shed some lite on this. Its crazy that this bone is sticking out out of nowhere. All i read about is cancer cancer cancer.

I will tell you a funny, one of my dearest friends called me - crying her eyes out - I PANICKED - she told me her symptoms and said "I have uterine cancer!!!!!!!!" I said "you DON'T have uterine cancer, you have MENOPAUSE" LOL So she had talked herself into thinking that she had cancer, wouldn't take my word for it. went to her doctor who said "You DON'T have uterine cancer, you have MENOPAUSE"! LOL Google is a great tool - as long as you keep a cool mind and don't buy into the hysteria of internet diagnosis - unless it's from me of course! LOL Just ALWAYS go with the lowest common denominator - eg. IF I had this and this and this, would that explain this?! Please let me know how you make out!

I also have swelling, tingling and some numbness on my right side where my clavicle is protruding. I am not concerned about cancer but I see my PCP today because my throat has swollen shut before and my doc called an ambulance for me, they never figured out what caused it. I didn't even notice my protruding collar bone until yesterday when someone brought it to my attention. I did have a slip and fall out of my shower due to something slippery on the floor-I went up in the air and landed straight back then hitting my head as well. I wonder if this could have caused the recent problem. Will hopefully know eventually. Some others with this same issue stated they went to a Chiropractor who treated them with kensiology ?? treatments. Since this is very new to me I will start with my doctor review today.
