I have recently noticed that the lymphnode just inside of my left collar bone is swollen. From reading on forums like these I found out that it can be a serious indication of cancer/lymphoma. I am freaking out! I went to the doctor and he agreed that it should not be swollen on its own. He did a chest exray that came back clear. He noticed that I had some sores on my scalp kinda like shaving bumps which I assume were infected (I can't remember what he called it) because he gave me an antibiotic for it. Now in day 6 of the anitibiotic the rash has all but gone away, but the node is still swollen like before. Which is starting make me think it wasn't from the rash! I don't know that I have any other symptoms of lymphoma or otherwise, but that doesn't always mean anything. Or so I've read. Any one out there have any advice or thoughts on this? If so, I'd love to hear them!

The node will take time to go down.  It's still in red alert dealing with the infection.  So even though the rash has gone, it's going to take time for the defense cells in the node to go away, as the remnants of the infection are cleared.  Given the rash sounds like an infection, that's a very likely cause of the node to be up.

Keep an eye on it.  If it grows, go back to the doctor.  If it's unchanged when you finish the antibiotics I'd go back as well.
