My wife noticed that she has a lump on the top of the collar bone, and she’s complaining that it is getting bigger. I guess that is lymph node and I was wondering if there was a reason to worry. Is it necessary for her to visit physician if she continues to feel collar bone lymph?

Most common places where you can feel lymph nodes are under the arms, below the collar bone or in the crease between thigh and pelvic area. It feels like small bump and it is most probably blocked lymph node. Sometimes you can feel a pain by touching it. If she feels that her collar bone lymph is increasing she should make appointment to have examined by a physician. Most problems occur at the junctions of lymph vessels. Without biopsy it is impossible to know what it is.
