I am 15 years old and am not sexually active. A few days ago I noticed that the left side of my vulva was red and swollen. It was a little alarming, but I didn't think much of it. The next day it was gone, but a day or two later it came back, and this time there was a hard lump just under the surface. By this point the left side of the vulva was dramatically larger than the right and very red. It had also become very irritated and hurt when I walked, sat down, stood up, etc. P.E. today was a complete nightmare. I woke up yesterday with no improvement and now I have painfull soreness in my pelvic region, mostly around the vagina. I'm kind of scared. It might be nothing serious but I really just want to know what it is. If anyone could offer any input I would really appreciate it.

I noticed a couole of months ago I had a small bump under the skin of my labia. I think that's it, it's under the lip of skin outside my vagina. At the time it only hurt when I tried to squeeze it so I left it alone thinking it would go away. I am 17 and a virgin so I know it's not an STD. Then today i felt a lot of pain where the buml was so I touched it. The bump is now a lot larger than a pea, it is probabky grape sized. It also hurt to walk, sit, or even lay down.it doesnt hurt a lot, but enough to be noticeable. I started my period 2 days ago, could that be why it suddenly got big and painful? As far as I know it is skin colored. I haven't shaved my pubic hair in awhile, so I don't think it is an ingrown hair. It hurts even if I just touch it with my finger. What is this? Please help me!
