Good evening, good people. I have heard something about tularemia. I think my uncle has gotten it, so everybody is talking about it. It seems that he has ulcer glandular form, so I would like to find out something more about its symptoms. Can anyone help me with something more? Thank you in advance.

Hi, there. Tularemia has several forms as you probably know it. Ulcer glandular is just one of them. It is the most common since it affect approximately 80%of all tularemia cases. Infection usually happens when bacteria enter the organism through a scratch on skin. Then, they spread through lymphatic vessels and nodes. There is a rash present on skin. Lymph nodes and glands are enlarged. They can ulcerate. That is how this form got its name. Bye!
