Okay I've been on suboxone for 2 years about 12mg a day. I got Vicodin for a horrible tooth abcess and I want to know of it will work. I'm in so much pain and I know it blocks like Oxys and stuff but I think of Vicodin as like a Tylenol I mean I haven't taken an opiate in two years but plz help in so much f*****g pain!

You really should ask your dentist, or a doctor about this. The vicodin may have a counter act with the suboxone. I would definetly speak to a doctor or dentist before mixing ANY Meds.

Honestly, I can't believe you've been taking 12 mg for 2 years...I'm sorry. Well for one, ya you really shouldn't take opiates while on Suboxone. It has opiate blocker in it. So the Vicodin is gonna have NO effect on you, especially at your dose of Subs. Everyone is different though, they say if you try to take an opiate while on Subs you could have withdrawl symptoms. I'll tell you though, from my experience with Suboxone, you might seriously consider tapering down and getting off of it. I took Suboxone for 15 months and while I was on it, yes it completely improved my life quality and I thought I was all better. I had tapered down to 2 mg a day and I just quit 2 weeks ago...I've been in withdrawls from the Suboxone for the last 2 weeks and I'll tell you it's really, REALLY, not a pleasant experience. I think it's just a trade, one dependancy for another. I realize now that I'm not all better and I'm still struggling. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, and I really feel for those who are on the Subs and have no idea what's in store when it's time to quit.
