I've been having strange headaches lately: they're only on my left side, right above my temple. It's moderate to severe pain, accompanied by strong pressure, as if something were pushing directly down on the spot, which is about an inch in diameter. They come on sharp and quick, and last anywhere from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours. I've been known to have recurring headaches, but only in the past month or so have I have this kind of pain. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Hi:
I hope that you've gotten some answers by now. Was this a sinus infection or was it related to the cause of your other headaches? We'd really like to hear about your diagnosis, so that you can be helpful to other people with the same problem. What type of remedies or treatment were you given? What do you take for the other (regular) headaches that you experience. Please let us know. I hope that you are feeling a lot better. Please let us know.

Those kind of headaches are very difficult to figure out. It could be anything from allergies to sinus infections to stress headaches to something more serious. It depends on how long it's been since you started having them. Have they gone away at all or have the symptoms persisted. I think that if they're persisting then it'd be a really good idea to see a physician because that sounds a bit abnormal and your doctor can help figure out the cause. Keep us posted!
