I have the exact same! Mine doesn’t pop though and it’s more purple than red but it’s squishy! I have been putting TCP on it and it’s been going down but it’s still painful

I looked this up because in the last 72 hours a painless solid mass on the inner cheek became red, painful and are in size to a point now that it hurts to sit down or even touch the area (shower cleaning). It is not open - the idea of it opening is a whole new nightmare but, I am not sure if I should go to a doctor or try a home treatment. It is embarrassing. it is on my right upper inner cheek area and it is kind of a purple looking or bruised appearance. Is this similar to anyone else who might have an ingrown hair?.

I have this bump butt mine is on the lower left cheek, it is really nothing to be worried about. I have had one before and as long as you keep up on your hygiene it will go away! It is just your body growing, could be caused by a hair or a clogged pore or blood vessel and your body will take care of it.
