You are not alone! Most of us feel wired in the same way and part of the problem is that we are always plugged in- via our phones, our iPads, laptops etc.. There is no time to relax our mind or our brain. Not getting on a good sleep schedule does not help the matter. The skill of staying focused has become a lot harder. The wise thing to do is to train your mind and your brain to pay attention. There are practices that you can do for this that actually increase the CEO center of your brain, allowing you to think more effectively. These techniques have also been shown to increase the grey matter of the brain. These practices include meditation and mindfulness. The results they produce are well worth the effort if you stick with them. That is why many Fortune 500 companies are now providing this type of training for their employees. I would also recommend writing things down. When you get your thoughts out on paper you may be able to release them. I will be offering some free guided videos soon that you can stream anywhere. These are geared to provide short precise techniques for this exact purpose.

I don't think it's good for you to have so many thoughts running around up there. I have had that for a long time. And it has caused me lots of problems. I did wind up being diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. Just remember mental issues are just as important as more physical ones. Have a visit with a therapist and just talk about the things you mention here. I am sure you will find more of an answer than just smoking pot and relaxing....SMH

yes yes and yes. Guys I currently work in law enforcement and I have been having such a hard time concentrating and getting things done that I have to do tons of work from home when none of my co workers have to do the same. When I am thinking of getting one thing completed around ten other things (and that's at a minimal) pop into my head preventing me from getting things done. Oh and don't say take Adderall because I am taking that and I am still having the same problem. What to do what to do?

Just by the answers posted I realised I knew the answer beforehand - meditation for 30-45 mins in morning

Hey, the exact same problem that you've described has plagued me for many years. I practice breath meditation or anapanasati, which helps calm the mind and my thoughts have reduced.
