UTI'S aka the bane of my existence, I've gone through every conceivable medication for it that's available for me (my personal favourite is Moxiclav Duo Forte). But it always fails to rid me of them completely (I take the full course). At the moment i tend to get one per week ( you heard that right). I'm a teen, a virgin, and I have good hygiene. At the moment the thought of having this for the rest of my life is unbearable.
I'm not sure what advice to offer besides always keep a prescription ready so you're able to get relief if you need it.
Out of all of the things to have chronically, cystitis sucks a lot more than people think.

I had been getting a UTI EVERY MONTH FOR THE LAST 6 months. I tried everything....peeing after sex, careful how I wipe, loose clothing, drinking a lot of water. Finally I went & bought some cranberry gel caps that the pharmacist recommended. I started taking the dosage, 2 a day....one in the am & one in the pm. I have not had a problem since. Seems simple, but it took me a long time to find the cure for me. I was tired of calling the dr. every month, taking antibiotics and then having to go to the med. center to take a pee test, which my dr. required in order to get the antibiotics. It was a life changer for me:)

Ever since i could rember i have always had utis. Sometimes everyday or sometimes every week, taking uti medication to make my urine orange works for about a day but it always comes back, i drink tons of water . Nothing. The struggle is real

I'm aware that your comment was from over a year ago, but beware of macrobid. I was prescribed macrobid by a urologist in the US and after a few months of use, ended up with a massive allergic reaction that sent me to hospital. Plus it took care of the UTI symptoms temporarily, but they always came back.

Ive been taking d mannose for a year now. It took about 6 months of me taking 4 a day to finally be uti free from ecoli. Dmannose only works for uti's from ecoli. I now only take 2 a day for precaution. Now I'm getting uti's caused from klebsiella bacteria instead. Go figure.

Hi there, My name is Jo. I've had UTI's every since I was a little girl. But they have become more frequent now that I'm older. I get them like once every two to three months. As you know they're painful and horrible to have to deal with. My mom always gave me cranberry juice, it helped when I was little but not any more. Is it alright to give a 6-year-old girl cranberry capsules if she has recurring bladder infections? They are 500 mg each.
