I am having ear problems right now myself, but when I read your post, I just wanted to let you know that my mom has chiari malformation, and I'm pretty sure it cannot be causing any of these types of symptoms, plus it is easy to diagnose with an MRI, as it is caused by the brain being too low in the skull, essentially drowning in the spinal cord. The symptoms of it appear very much like those that people with MS have.

So, that's just something with which I am familiar.

Can you tell me more about this MS option? I did not realize that some of the symptoms that people were experiencing here could be related to MS. Can you let me know?

Hi

I read this post from the beginning from the last week, my niece had been having the same problems, with doctors suspecting labrythitis, gladular fever and so forth.

I've been doing my own research and just wanted to pass that on to everyone suffering from the same conditions,

she has had loss of balance, fatigue, heavy head or head fog, some feelings of sickness its been quite debilitating.

She had been ill for 3 and half weeks when her mum had brought her to me.

I have been giving her concoctions of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, green tea and honey.

Take a 1 and half inch cube of ginger and grate it into a pan of water approx 3.5 mugs and simmer on a low heat for at least 15 mins to get the maximum amount of ginger from it, add to it 2 2-3 inch cinnamon sticks, 6 green cardamoms and crush them down and add them to the concoction keep simmered for 20 mins add a table spoon of green tea or normal tea bag if you don't have it and boil until you can see the colour develop. There will be enough to make 3 mugs

Take a sieve and pour into a mug and add a table spoon of honey or more if you need it to be sweeter.

Then drink it whilst its warm as you can take.

This I promise will help. Make sure you are sweating out and kept warm at all times.

Cut out milk and gluten based products until you are completely well.

Try to avoid cold foods.

I also gave her a range of 5 times the recommended daily dose of B12 vitamins and multivitamins, vitamin C and zinc, co-enzyme q10 and epa fish oils.

And she's nearly 100% better, the doctors have been shocked. If you've been ill a long time you will just need to keep going at it don't give up. Try and sweat it out a little and try and eat soups with meat, that have been made with garlic, ginger, onion, tomato and chilli and black pepper. The broth will be good for you.

please check the following link as you may be b12 deficient even if your not sure take the nutrients as you may find a huge difference in how you feel. I do wish you all the best!

It has been painful to watch my nieces condition and her depression beginning to sink in. You can get better just follow the advice. if you need any help reply to this post and i'll try to help.

All the best x

If you're deficient in B12, what would you eat to fix that? I dthought you could only get it from meat?

B12 deficiency can be taken care of by taking B12 supplements or getting B12 injections. I had chronic unexplained dizziness and fatigue for over two years and finally got my DR to test my B12 level. It was barely in the abnormal range. Low B12 causes all kinds of problems in your body, as b12 is important in mylinating brain cells. Be careful relying on your doctors answer of whether or not you are deficient. You may be ''normal'' range, but the low end of the normal range is not considered normal in other countries and symptoms start much sooner than doctors treat for here in the U.S. If you are looking for a quick fix to tide you over to see a doctor, get sublingual b12 tablets either 2500 or 5000 mg.

I feel so lucky to have found this site. I'm beside myself with wha to do next. Back in July of this year I was diagnosed with an underactive thryoid. So I began on the medication for that, but never quite feeling better. Have since seen a specialist who worked on trying to get the right level dosage. Meanwhile my symptoms of complete fatigue, lack of motivation, lack of energy, headaches, aching flu like eyes, and slight dizzyness were getting worse, but I was determined to try and carry on with work. Until 2 weeks ago when I just sat for the whole day staring at my computer screen literally not being able to do anything except wish I could curl up for good.

So i was sent home. And have been unable to return. I've seen a neurologist, who thinks I need to see a psychiatrist. My doctor also thinks it's depression, and I am now on anti depressants. I agree to a point that maybe there is a chemical imbalance as I have, since a child, suffered years of random bouts of depressive times. But I can't believe that depression woould really affect me this physically, when I'm not even mentally feeling down.

My sister suggested I go to the kinesiologist who sorted out her allergy. So I went last week. It's an alternative therapy that uses muscles to diagnose a problems with the organs. She read my energy levels as being less than that of an ME sufferer. Or an 80 year old! And really said I should most definitely nnot be at work and I am in a dangerous state. She also said that I have yeast ALL over my body, along with Polio on my spleen, kidneys and base of my brain (this would have been from a booster i had before going travelling last year). Currently my body is too weak for her to start detoxing these out so I am taking a type of B12 vitamin plus an australian herb called 'confid essence' for 4 weeks and then i have to return to her for the next step. I also have a result for an MRI scan this evening. I will report on both of these as I can't believe how many people are suffering. All I want to do is go back to work and settle.

After reading the majority of these posts, I think I may also try a chiropractor as I had a fall on my back last May so maybe the re-alignment thing could be a cause too.

The yeast thing has also come up in a couple of posts. I have had years and years or re-occurant thrush, and this alternative doctor told me that as it is in all my body parts it must have been leaking for years, which would make sense. And as yeast does also control neuro transmitters in the brain, it could also be the cause of so many bouts of depression through the years too.

I am having less and less faith in the medical profession. I feel it's such a lame excuse to call up work with. 'I'm still just so tired'. But it's not just tired is it. I just want to pull my head off because it's so heavy. And it's even worse when it hits the pillow. It just feels like i need to drill a little hole and some steam will come out and then i'll be fine.

I'll stop rambling now. Wish this was an actual support group we could join. It'd be a big hall with lots of sofas and beds where we could all sit and moan to eachother. Good luck with finding cures everyone x

Hello. I wrote the above post a coupe of months ago. I hope anyone who has written here and has still not found the answer comes back to have a read because I've found the cure and you'll never look back.

The Lightning Process.

It's a course. It's not therapy. You learn how to make yourself better. Don't worry i was a little skeptical myself, even on day 2 of the course but since I finished (3 days course) ive just got better and better. Im waking up feeling refreshed and i'm excited about the future which I never have been before. If anyone reading all this is frustrated with their fatigue then google the lightning process. It's worlwidely taught and was worth th money i promise you. My tutor had ME for 7 years and she's the most spritely happy lovely lady, and im so grateful for the colleague at my work who suggested it after it had helped her as well after a year of ME...

If you're like me and have tried everything then you'll give this a go. It really is the way forward.

Good luck, hope you're well soon :-)

I am a 23 year old who has been enduring the constant random symptoms from one very sore wisdom tooth for a few years now, and one unconfirmed tooth that is possibly pushing on my ear drum.

The tooth that is very sore is on the left side is on the bottom, and causes all sorts of complications:

Woozy stomach
Random muscle fatigue
Extreme fatigue
Blocked sinus, excess mucus
Tooth itches (under the tooth)
Jaw tightness
Neck tightness
Shoulder tightness
Excessively thirsty
Loss of appetite
Extreme bad breath (no matter how much I brush)
Fainting (rare, but has happened to me multiple times)

I have been to seen a doctor, and have had two blood tests (one partial, one full), and these symptoms still seem to persist.

Also, I have a bad habit of grinding my teeth in my sleep, which has damaged the teeth severely.

Does anyone know if it's cheaper to get teeth removed compared to get a filling?. I think it's too late for me to get fillings with the state of some of my teeth.

Hi my name is Matt,

I have a serious onset of mild loss of balance that is persisting for 2 days now. I find it hard to concentrate as I also get a "heavy head" feeling, where it seems like I have to concentrate to just keep my head from falling. Unfortunately, most doctors unless they specialize in the human balance (vestibular) system will look at you funny and think you are imagining these things because the symptoms have no physical manifestation.

This is really scaring me because I'm a mathematician by trade and I need to be able to concentrate without interruption for hours on end. Over the course of these two days I have made some simple observations:

additional symptoms:

-slight ache in the lower region (base) of the neck, has gone away on second day
-feeling of fatigue after a regular day where before I would be fine
-diarrhoea
-ache in joints similar to what one would feel like if they were sick (and the body would release interferon to combat)

Like you all I am confounded as to the exact cause of these symptoms. The sudden onset would suggest that some event (either in my body or in my environment) has occurred to cause it.

recent events of note pertaining to my body:
-several days before the onset experienced a very painful headache that did not feel like a regular headache, felt more like a massive pressure was being applied to my forehead; it started and ended without warning
-6months ago I had a dental filing that has since then fallen out (pertaining to the mercury poisoning theory); however, the filing was made of composite material, not consistent with the dental amalgam required for mercury poisoning
-recently, my dentist told me I grind my teeth in my sleep (getting night retainers)

recent events of note in my environment:
-started a day job 9-5 6months ago, sit most of the day under fluorescent light in front of a monitor.
-recently the area where I live has undergone severe weather pattern changes indicating severe changes in pressure (ex. in one day weather changed from snow to perfect sunshine to hail.)
-I know 2 people who are extremely sensitive to changes in pressure (my mother and my accountant) both of which experience severe migraines
-the recent weather changes have caused incredible powerful migraines for both of them

taking these things into account, my leading theory is that my vestibular system is compromised due to either my sinuses being affected or some form of an inner-ear problem.

Since I am not a trained physician, I do not have access to equipment and knowledge to test if these things are indeed at fault. I am, however, able to make some observations:

-if I take a long hot shower the steam in the shower seems to greatly alleviate my balance problem for a brief period of time following the shower
>> steam helping is consistent with sinus problem being the cause
-if I take my fingers and close shut my ears (just like a child would when playing) the feeling of disorientation nearly disappears.
>> this may suggest either a sinus or inner ear problem

If I may I would like to ask the other posters in this forum to try those two things I noted above (shower, close ears) and report their results.

I am also aware that even though we all seem to have similar symptoms this does not necessitate we all must have the same causes.

Good luck to you all!

Yup. Sounds like you all have the same situation going on. I dont use drugs. Used to many years ago. I compare it to like having a bad trip. Not sure whats going on. Im 30. But in very good health. I had lymes disease thought that could be it but no. Then theres diabetes in the family but not it either. Just really wierd it should be happning to our age group. Ocassionally Ill keep getting pressure in my temple area. I hate to be a hypocondriac but it really brings it out in me. What ever it is. Chilling out in a dark room and just keeping quite seems to work. I meditate. One time I actually was out and thought someone slipped something in my drink. Thats how bad it was. Some times bright warm natural sunlight makes me feel better too.

Allright. All the symptoms described here by people can be a zillion things. Problems can range from psychosomatic anxiety to cancer.
I want to get put aside the dizzyness (nausea) and migraine (head pain) topics because on their own they can also be millions on things.

But when we speak of Umbalance - Lightheadedness - Vertigo - elevator feeling, etc... All of this, the sense of the body's position
in space, is registered by the Cerebellum, which is positioned in the middle/back of your brain. From what I understand (I'm not a doctor), there are 4 parts or levels in the Cerebellum and depending which is affected, can mean a difference between a vertigo effect and a lightheadedness effect. What is important, is that many things influence the Cerebellum. Mainly: the eyes, the ears (vestiubular system), the cardio-vascular system (blood flow), and the neurologic system. In the worst cases, something affects the Cerebellum directly. That's when they see a tumor at the mri (some, they can take away in surgery). Most of the people here have had symptoms for years so I wouldn't worry about that.

Anything affecting the ears (vestibular systems) can be pretty bad at causing heavy vertigo. Something's blocking your ears from inside your teeth? That's funny, but it's still something to do with your vestibular.

Lightheadedness can be caused by cardio-vascular problems. Hypertension, Hypotension, etc... There is a wide variety
of causes. You might have too much blood going in the brain, or not enough oxygen (well, not enough blood).

If you got eyes symptoms, vision weirdness: problems of the eyes can affect the cerebellum. Check an ophtalmologist.

The biggest thing though, is the nervous system. It is linked from the Spine, and back problems (cervicals) can
lead to big big problems with umbalance, and feeling generally bizarre (problems with bones in the spine affects
the nervous system which sends bad informationm to your Cerebellum). Other than that, anxiety.
Anxiety can actually affects both blood flow and the nervous system, so while it is pretty much a
laughable condition, it can make you seem like you are the most sick person in an hospital.
Anxiety is not psychosomatic, it's a real body effect (you're not imagining anxiety, it is really
happening: your nerves are really twitching inside), but the CAUSES of anxiety are often psychosomatic.

You can have allergies and viruses too. If they make you like this, it's still affecting
blood flow or the nervous system somehow. I think I would start diagnosis in this
order: ears (vestibular), brain mri, blood flow, eyes, spines (bones) and nervous system
(the hardest to diagnose). It depends, really. If you have chest pain or feel like fainting
all the time, methink the doctor will want a Dopler test first (blood flow in the head).
But I don't think you will ever find here an "eureka: this is what everyone on this thread
has!". It is not one thing.

Many balance problems, wrether vestibular, blood flow, spine, etc... will correct
themselves with exercise, because the cerebellum learns how to connect
information faster when you move. But don't hold your breath: vestibular
disorders require very precise exercises with a specialist, or excercises can
worsen your problems if you have cardio-vascular problems, or exercises
won't help if your retina is slowly detaching itself (ouch).

If you think you might have anxiety, have a full body mri: you will be half-cured once
you know your body has no severe problems. Try to deal the causes, instead
of hiding them with pills that will turn you into a drug addict.

Good luck

I have a multitude of symptoms that several of my doctors CLAIM to be Anxiety related but based off the research I have been conducting it does not match. Most of my research consists of online health forums and interviewing others with similar symptoms. I am going to start with the first and the very worst and consistent of all my symptoms and that is extreme, sometimes throbbing, head pressure. Please try to understand how severe this pressure is, as if my head is a balloon so inflated that its on the verge of bursting. This pressure also comes from my eyes, forehead, nose, cheeks, teeth, temples, neck, and ears. This pressure at times evolves into a full blown headache which is also pretty severe. This symptoms is present daily 3/4th of the day with very little if no relief. The second two worst symptoms are dizziness and nausea. Self explanatory, I can't function when I feel like I am going to vomit and fall off this Earth at the same time. These symptoms come and go several times a week. Third, is severe fatigue, physically and mentally. I cannot concentrate nor think. I am exhausted even if I get a full nights rest. I am practically a walking zombie most of the day. This symptom is also present on and off several times a week. I very rarely get anxiety and if I do it is only because of my poor declining health. I am a 19 (about to be 20) year old male who feels as if he is older than the Earth itself. I am not taking any medication nor am I planning on it until I figure out what the hell is wrong with me. My insurance is garbage so it takes over a month see my doctor. I am starting to plummet into a very deep and dark depression. I am hoping someone here can relate to what is going on with me. Thank you in advance and hope no one here has to suffer as much as I do.

I am 45 year old male. For the last 3 years I have been suffering from multitude of strange symptoms that come and go with somewhat unpredictable pattern although by now I have them nearly constantly. Originally the condition has started with overwhelming fits of nausea, salivation and mental confusion that would envelop me in waves, last for several hours and disappear almost as suddenly. The only permanent element was ‘shimmering’ brain fog. This ‘shimmering’ component is unlike anything I had experienced prior to this and can be described as ‘mental static’ where inner perception is flooded by myriads of ringing, flashing, vibrating, buzzing ‘dots’. When the feeling got intense enough it would nearly completely disintegrate my subjective perception and my world – leaving only mad ‘buzzing hive’. I guess with time my brain got used to these fits and while such symptoms as nausea, salivation, stomach cramping, ringing in ears, light flashes in visual field, numbness in my body remained as strong as before, my mental perception remains intact. So these days my symptoms start in the morning with strong metallic taste on left side of the mouth, they increase in intensity 20-40 minutes after meals – strong stomach cramping, non-stop salivation, burning in the eyes, mental fog, nausea, chest pains, lower back pains, chills, ringing in the ears. The symptoms would last through the day, somewhat varying in intensity and would subside during meals and at nighttime.

My doctors originally sent me through the battery of lab tests (blood, ultrasound, MRI) and number of specialists (neurologist, surgeon, endocrinologist, psychiatrist – nothing was found beyond some minor deviations in my hormonal response, kidney cyst and some other minor items that could not explain the symptoms. After that they have talked about hypochondria, stress, depression, subjective perception, etc.

Since onset of the symptoms the quality of my life dropped below zero and death certainly looks more attractive. Internet searches produced many false hits with sites on mercury, lead, lyme disease, MS and hormonal disorders presenting long lists of general symptoms and advertising ‘miracle cures’.

I want like to have my life back or, at least some logical explanation of what is going on. My only hope is that some readers of this threat may have found the answer to their own similar condition and are willing to share it. Please help.

PS. The complains of people in this treat are one of the closest thing to my complaints that I can find. What unites us is that due to the absence of diagnosis doctors and other people do not take us seriously. Our life can turn into total HELL while our blood tests and MRI stay normal. Well, I can truly sympathize with people in this group. If it is of any help, you are not alone.
