Ok so i'm new to this site & i've been experiencing alot of these symptoms for the last 6 month. I've had dizziness (feeling faint, spaced out, drunk but dont drink kind of dizziness) extreme fatigue, nausea, horrible headaches, trouble breathing sometimes, etc . I've seen md, ent, neurologist, gyno, er doctors, and a few others. I haven't gotten any relief at all. The neuro said I was having seizures gave me some medicine and told me to come back in 6 months ( I didnt take it). Pretty sure he just didn't want to deal with me. My md tried treating me for depression/anxiety she gave me some meds I did try taking them for maybe 4 days & they gave me horrible reactions made my head feel worse than it was to begin with so I went back to her and she tried putting me on other medicines for depression. Never took anything else for about 5 months or have been back to her. Ent just said I was fine & if I have any other problems come back. Pretty much all the other ones blew me off. So back to the dizziness that is ruining my life pretty much. I am a 26 year old female with 1 son. I have been missing out on so much because of this its horrible. People have been telling me well you look fine. I guess b/c I struggle to get myself out of bed every day to get ready i'm fine. If they only knew how my body felt. It woudld be a whole other story. I feel horrible. I constintly just want to stay inside all day long b/c i'm afraid if I go anywhere my dizziness is just going to get worse which it usually does. So I pretty much stay at home. There are some days that I feel better than other but the dizziness it always there. My boyfriend just told me maybe I should get checked for mold so i'm trying to find a dr who can do the tests and pretty much all of them around my area are dumbfounded on this subject. I might try a chiropratic as well. I have my l4 laying on my spinal cord have had that problem now for about 8 years but never any symptoms. Who know I just wish either I would get some answers or it would go away. I'm so happy to have found this site so I can relate to others that have this dizziness problem going on. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. :) God Bless...

It's been a year or so and I'm still feeling unbalanced and not right. I mentioned in my last post that I smell amonia or alkalai all the time... anyone else or am I the freaks freak? (i'm only kidding of course)
Recent things I've done without any change:
- Cut out all foods stated by my allergy test... including egg, dairy, glutton, wheat, beef.... better stomach... no change to the imbalnce.
- tried nicotine patch (as the symptom's started right after I quit smoking)I'll try anything.
- 7 intervenus's with B5 B6 Magnesium- meant to calm me
Interestingly, I JUST started seeing a balance therapist (basically a physiotherapist)After telling him my symptom's and tests, he ran a physical test on me where i was in sitted positon, and he swiftly guided my head back to a laying poistion. he then made me stare into his eyes, where he was able to see slight side to side fluxtuations in my eyes... which as you may have guessed, corresponded directly with a "dizzy spell". We did it again and this time he was able to tell me when i was spinning and when it stopped.
hardly a cure... but at least a glimmer of hope.
this therapist told me that i had a MILD form of BPPV.... that could be overlooked by an mri or ct... i'm only telling you what he told me.
He's been trying deep tissue massage, acupuncture, epley's and a barrel roll manoeuvres. I've seen him 2 times. I see him again on friday. Nothing yet... if anything i've been worse lately. more un balanced than ever and now with head pressure (almost a headache)... although it feels worse... i feel hopeful... change is change... and change is good.
I hope you all find a cure... i'll speak to you guys on my next update.
remember to write if you find a cure!!!

To me it seems like it is the most common type of neurosis called Neurasthenia. For a very long time I didn’t want to believe it might be mental issue but as I am being better every day without any drastic treatment its becoming clear why did I suffer. When I see posts from mrfeelbad, SheriAnne, Jenny, utkutk and some others I see they’re experiencing exactly the same what I do. MY STORY: More then a year ago I’ve changed job and moved to another city (leaving my family for the very first time). I started to live with very unpleasant guys and the job turned to be very stressful so after a month I started to have these symptoms. I felt like I was being drunk with hangover at the same time. Reading books just made me feel like a dumb ‘cuz I couldn’t understand anything and all emotions were covered by this dizziness.
WHAT HELPED ME TO RECOVER:
I quit this job and moved back to my hometown – and now after 5 months I can honestly say that I am getting better. I’ve still not decided to take any job because I am afraid that new stressful situations may restore these symptoms. A while ago I started therapy but I quit as I couldn’t find good connection with my therapist – however if you find good one I can definitely recommend it as a good way to recover.
SUCCESS STORIES:
I wish I could say I am one of them – who beat this disease but I am still on my way. However comparing how I felt 6 months ago and now I can say I feel great. Again I want to be active, go out, jogging, swimming, reading books and do other stuff healthy people do – and most important find joy in life and not to seek how it end. Literally two days ago I found article about one of polish singers (Maria Peszek) who had these symptoms and she named it neurasthenia. She had somatic issues which means her mental problems caused also pain in her back and spine. So one day she quit everything and moved to Malaysia for 6 months just to find some rest. Also she mentioned she had a psychotherapy which helped her to recover. As she says now it helped her “to escape from the hell where she lived for a year”. Today (3rd Nov 2012) she is publishing her album with songs about that experience and how she felt back then. As soon as I get it I will upload it to YT just to cheer some of you
CONCLUSION / CURE
Please just take this point to consider and don’t make any quick decisions as I am not a doctor. What helped me was simply long rest. I feel more relaxed and peaceful now, I don’t rush anywhere and I only do things I want to do. I used to was running in a rat race working 10 to 14 hours per day and now I see it was a way to nowhere. Find peace, keep good relations with other people and most important , avoid stress as much as you can.And one more note: It is reversible and you will not live with it forever – depends only from you how quick it goes away.

I am hoping I am on my way to recovery (my posts are from mafixit - for some reason I cannot log in). I have had some extensive testing done (blood and other labs) and it turns out my hormones are in the toliet and my Vitamin D level is low, amongst a few other things. I am waiting for two more labs to be done to tie this all together. One of my doctors is confident we have found the problem to my headaches, dizziness and overall strange symptoms I have been experiencing for the past 1-1/2 years. In the meantime I have switched to an all natural Paleo/Primal Diet to eliminate any refined or processed foods from my diet and I am going to an acupuncturist. Once the other labs come back we will determine how to best approach the hormone issues. I will keep posting.

This is the simplest possible cure for this condition. You should see a dramatic reduction in tinnitus, dizziness, vomiting in a matter of days. The cause is a virus, likely to be a herpes viruses. The condition attacks the area and when you first have it, you know when it started. The remedy to get most of the viruses killed is to take 1000 mg of vitamin C, followed by 55 minute doses of 1200 mg of lysine for a total of 6 doses on the first day. On the second day it's 1200 mg of lysine at 55 minute dose interval for a total of 4 doses. The third and fourth day is the same. To make sure it's completely gone, you try to take at least 1200 mg of lysine dose twice a day for the next 30 days, or longer. The point is, the very first week usually 90% is gone on the first week. The lysine is kept up at a fairly high level. For the more tougher cases, an aspirin 500 mg can be added along with the vitamin C on before starting on the daily doses of lysine. That means vitamin C 1000 mg plus aspirin 500 mg before starting the 6 doses of lysine on first day, 4 doses on second day, 4 doses on the third day, 4 doses on the fourth day. It's a four day remedy that usually kills most of the herpes out of the system. If it isn't out, the attacks will be few and far between, instead of getting more frequent attacks each coming year, until it becomes very debilitating.
Thereafter the one month, I think a maintenace dose of just 1200 mg lysine should prevent most future attacks. If not increasing the dose to just twice a day should be sufficient."

I believe you refer to the last one which may cause these symptoms but it can be easily found by MRI or CT scans which a lot of us have done (+me) and nothing was found.

I tend to agree. I read up on the supplement suggested and it is for cold sores, a version of Herpes. It's safe when used as directed, but is most definitely not my issue. My extensive lab work shows my issues appear to be hormonal. The problem was I had/have to pursue the labs on my own. My PSP never wanted to take it that far. Their solution was a pill to mask my symptoms, not fix the root cause of my symptoms. You have to be the greatest advocate for your own health and don't take no for an answer until you are sure. You and only you know your body the best. I can tell the difference between anxiety symptoms (which they suggested this was) and when something is out of balance. I have proven I am correct. Now on to get fixed.

Good luck then. I was diagnosed with Menieres and this is the only thing that relieved me of my symptoms.

I am glad you found a cure, but it would be very unusual for that supplement to cure Meniere's. And Meniere's is not caused by a virus. I am sure the millions of people affected by it wish it was that simple.
Additionally you can be tested for and diagnosed with Meniere's. Many of us who post here have gone through all that testing and have been cleared of that particular ailment.
Again, I am really happy that you have found a cure for your issues. I wish we could all be that lucky.

You state that Menieres's is not caused by a virus. Are you a scientist? There are numerous studies out their that do indeed show that Menierse's is caused by a virus, specifically a form of the Herpes virus. Please do not make a statement of fact when it is your opinion. Labrythitus has the same symptoms but can not be tested for. But it is known that it is caused by a virus. Wonder if that virus might be herpes? HMMMM. Is it possible that everyone not tested positive for Meniere's might have labrythitis? Not saying everyone here has either. But if you had a sudden onset of vertigo followed by a prolonged period of dizziness, ear issues, balance issues, fatigue and other related symptoms, then this might work for you.
All the drug dealers, I mean US doctors, will dismiss anything until they read it in a medical journal. People need to attack illness from many different angles and not become slaves to the big drug companies propaganda and reliance on profits instead of curing anything. With that being said, why do you think people are on the internet looking for cures to ailments? Because Big Pharma has not developed their money making symptom masker yet. And until they do, doctors will not be able to diagnose what is really wrong. Instead they will tell you that you have depression or this or that and here is a prescription that does not work. Or hey, lets run all these tests that cost lots of money but will probably not find anything. This sounds very familiar to a lot of the posts on here.
The cure I posted is a cheap all natural cure that HAS HELPED A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE OR HAVE NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH MENIERS AND OTHERS WHO HAVE SIMILAR SYMPTOMS. No one is going to break your arm if you try it. No one is going to die if they try it. Lysine is an amino acid. C is a vitamin. Worst case scenario is nothing happens and you are out 10 dollars. Best case is you are healed or feel way better than you do now. So please do not give a negative opinion about something you know nothing about.
FYI, I did not find the cure. This is the work of a natural healer who resides in Asia somewhere who heals hundreds of people of many different ailments using only natural products. You know, they way God intended us to be healed. His name is Ted, send any thanks his way and to the greatest healer of all time, God.
Good luck and God bless all of you.

First of all, this is the first time I have ever heard anyone else describe those "jolts" I feel! I started feeling them when I stopped taking Lexapro 3 years ago. (OK'd by my doc). They have lessened over the years, but I still have them occasionally. I have always likened them to the feeling you get when someone sneaks up behind you and says "BOO!";an instant burst of adrenalin, like electricity. Then about a year ago, I had my first bout of severe vertigo; it put me down for a week. I went thru all the tests: blood, urine stool, MRI and CAT scan; in the end I was treated for a viral inner ear infection (the Dr's way of saying they don't know what's wrong with you). I've had mild vertigo symptoms ever since, and can usually keep those at bay by taking an allergy pill- until yesterday when it hit with a vengeance! Wave after wave of spinning (and vomiting),with extreme pressure in my head and at the base of my skull. I took the allergy pill, Tylenol, did the Canalith repositioning maneuver (that actually made it WORSE). Nothing helped this time. I am still very dizzy and weak as I write this. I feel so sick and helpless that it's almost unbearable! Now, for the first time I'm seeing Hypoglycemia linked to some of my symptoms. I will look into that; at least it's a direction I can take. I'm glad I found this post- I know all of you understand how crappy this can be! THANKS!

I experience them way too often and am working to find the root cause of them - it appears to be hormonal. So I am investigating and working with a couple of doctors to try to get back in balance and stop the madness of daily headaches and dizziness.
Do not take Tylenol more than 3 days out of 7 - you could give yourself rebound headaches. Next read the book "Heal Your Headache, The 1-2-3 Program" by Dr. David Buchholz. It might help you determine that something you are eating may be triggering migraines. Remember, Migraine does not always mean pain.
I went through every test available, 3 MRI's , cat scans, vestibular testing, physical therapy, ENT scoping, allergy testing, etc. and it turns out that its most likely hormone imbalance caused by my diet and my age (I am 48).
Keep us posted on how you are getting along.

Actually I went to the Mayo Clinic and saw their Optometrist, who diagnosed me with a vertical skew, which is a problem but not really my major problem. Unfortunately, my root cause of my issues is not the vertical skew. It appears to be hormonal. Karen
