Just wanted to share. I will be giving this a try (my story is below).
Has anyone tried Thermography (see below) to help get a diagnose???? It's normally used as a mammogram to help detect early stages of cancer. However, I read on another forum that thermography can be used for any region of the body where there is pain, inflammation or other physiological problems. It helps to find the cause of these types of problems. A full body scan can also be done. Thermography can be useful in detecting many conditions.
Thermography is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that converts infrared radiation emitted from the skin surface into electrical impulses that are visualized in color. The spectrum of colors indicate an increase or decrease in the amount of infrared radiation being emitted from the body surface. Medical Thermography can graphically display and record the subjective feeling of pain by objectively displaying the changes in skin surface temperature that are produced by pain states. Medical Thermography’s major clinical value is in its high sensitivity to pathology in the vascular, muscular, neural and skeletal systems and as such can contribute to a diagnosis by the clinician.
Claudia's Story:
As of Jan 2008, I was doing sit ups w weights and when I stood up - I got lightheaded, dry mouth, spinning dizziness, disoriented at the gym. I immediately went to the ER and was diagnosed with dehydration. The symptoms of the environmental spinning have resolved. However, to this day, I have a constant buzzing or static sound in my head (not sure which ear) regardless of what I am doing. At the same time on daily basis, especially in the mornings….any time I do anything that increases my heart rate (moderate walking anywhere 5 to 10 minutes....for ex. to a bldg or grocery shopping) I get extreme fullness and pressure in my left ear then lightheaded which lead to symptoms of nausea, confusion, head heaviness, shortness of breath or fainting. Then my balance goes off to the point that I can’t walk straight any longer. Then my legs and arms start to get the shakes and feel very heavy to move. I believe this is called extreme fatigue. In addition on a constant basis….if the temperature in the air (indoors or outdoors) is warm like 75 degrees and up or cool 57 degrees and down or if I go on a higher floor level,. If I am moderately walking for more than 5 to 10 minutes, the extreme fatigue symptoms come and I have to find I place to sit until my heart rate goes back down. And this happens even if I am sitting in a room or outdoors with the temperature 75 degrees, I have to find a cool place or drink ice water until the symptoms goes away. And if I am sitting in a cool place 57 degrees or less, I do the opposite until the symptoms goes away. So I am learning that my body is very limited with controlling any type of external temperatures. On some days as I am sitting, out of nowhere, I get a LOUD popping ringing noise in my left or right ear which the sound slowly decreases.
Since 2008 to today…I have had a host of tests… I have seen a stress doctor for testing on my heart and thyroid, which came out perfect and normal. I have had a MRI and Brain Stem w/ and wo contrast, CT scan on left ear which came out perfect and fine. I have seen all types of doctors…Audiology doctor, neurologist, ENTs, cardiologist, otologist, chiropractors. And all tests came out NORMAL. I am now 38 yrs old and have always been a health conscious person, so I consider myself and very healthy person. But since that day my life has completely changed meaning I am very limited to several types of activities that I was once able to do. I am continuously searching for help to have my normal life back. I want to thank you for taking the time to read my story and I pray that one day we all will find an answer. ~Claudia~
