I'm a 50 yr old, healthy, active, well fit, female. I  have unexplained lightheadedness, which I experience Only after a meal. Of course I keep away from sugar, since the dr told me to stay away from sugar, and I dont touch sugar.  I've had MRI's from the Brain, head, neck and ears, and its not vertigo, and drs dont have the answers yet.  Its very weird, since I dont have any pain, anywhere. The lightheadedness only comes on, after I eat a meal, even a small meal.  My sugar is normal too. anybody with this issue?

My husband spent about 1 out of 3 nights sleeping sitting up for years. He was told one thing after another but none of the doctors actually ran any test... they just don't seem to take it seriously. Eventually 1 of every 3 nights turned into every night - I made him promise to insist the doctor run some tests. Not positive what tests they did (MRI, Sonogram, x-rays) but they got a look at his insides and turns out he has gall stones and an inflamed gall bladder. He has not agreed to surgery to remove his gall bladder as yet (which is what the doctors wanted to do but couldn't until they could get the inflammation under control [with antibiotics] - instead he's gotten all freaky holistic (read a book by a Dr. Hilda Clark, "The Cure for All Diseases"). And what he's doing has cured his issues.

Guys

Is this thing still on...

I'm in this boat rowing right with you all - my symptoms have been horrible and sound exactly similar to yours.

Here is the deal - GO TO YOUR DOCTOR

Demand they hear you. I had to have a CT scan because I have kidney stones - never would have gone to a GI for what I've been dealing with symptom wise. We plow through - we down play what is obviously NOT normal because we aren't THAT sick. We say it's hormones or stress or in my case spiritual growth since I've recently found faith and evil motherflippers make me puke. And shake.

I have no idea how this will play out and it doesn't matter. My common bile duct and my pancreatic duct are dilated so hi ho it's off to the GI I go. Only because a CT was sketchy so of course, it becomes a specialist to cover the A of the primary.

I'll keep you posted. But no one should shake and puke and feel dizzy and sweat through many changes of pj's each night. I'm old so could it be hormones? Sure. But could it be some GI issue? Sure. How do we know??

You show up for said appt w the GI guy. Almost blew it off but I had to tell myself,
b***h you better be real with your own worth and what you know isn't your baseline. I'm extremely healthy, sober as a mutha. Great shape. And something isn't right up in my gut. I went, next step some test to get a hard look at my pancreas.

Took a kidney stone - but had I gone with just letting my Drs say no worry I might have woken up with yellow eyeballs. Then maybe it's too late.

I'm sure I'm going to have a squeaky clean report, and I'll forget this debacle happened. But you shouldn't. We all flit around never ever letting cancer enter our mind until it does - but if you are honest, it's in your heart that you worry. Follow that heart, trust your gut. If it is cancer, fight and know you will become stronger and braver because if it. If it's not, be a great example of standing up and be unafraid to matter.

Bam - mic drop.

Go to the GI dude - anyone with these symptoms.

Love,
Chicken

At first when I ate an hour or so later I would feel a lump in my throat like I couldn't take in enough air or I took too much in. I would begin getting a racing heart to the point it either was a panic attack or mimicked one. It happened every night for a few weeks. I had to look at the wall and curl in a ball until it would go away. I had a sense of panic like i was going to die. I just felt uneasy. I found taking a gasx helped relieve this. It actually took a bit before I noticed it was only after I ate. I had loss of appetite, lost approximately 10lbs. I also have 3 other people who live with me. Two in which are experiencing gas, the runs. One other person had it the worst with coughing up air, throwing up bile, loss of appetite, weight loss of 15 lbs in the past two months. Gas, she also had a panic attack like symptom. My main concern other than all four of us experiencing this problem with 2 having it longer than two months is my dog is now experiencing similar symptoms. He has gas, stomach stiffness, lack off appetite. I took him to the vet and his stool sample came back ok but is getting bloodwork done. I can't find anything online that has symptoms that last for months that include, gas, bloating, panic attack like, dizziness or unbalanced. I also get a lump in my throat like its closing up. I went to the doctor after my 4th week for something else and he said it was likely a bug. I wont see him for another month but I feel it won't be taken seriously. I don't know what else could cause this that would last this long where a dog can get it as well.

Just so you know you all are experiencing what Ive been dealing with for years and i was finally diagnosed with celiacs after 18 years of negative blood work and doctors brushing me off . The blood tests are usually inconclusive. You have to do the gluten challenge before testing which is hard to recommend after what I went through. you have to eat as much as gluten as humanly possible for at least 6 weeks straight until you do the blood test. I could only do it for a week and a half because I got so sick and landed in the ER. Eating gluten every few hours bloated me to the point that I looked 6 months preggo w the distention and could barely breathe it was so painful since I was so full of gas.

It could be your lipstick. Do you only notice it on the days you wear makeup? Does the feeling come on shortly after putting makeup on? Does it get worse after eating or drinking (you swallow more of the stuff with your food and drink)? Have you have thyroid problem? Nerve problems? Can't eat? Unexplained stomach cramps?

For heavens sake, why hasn't anyone tested you guys for gastroparesis. I was literally two weeks from going under the knife for a nissen fundlopication, so I got a second opinion. i spent 21 years of my life sick, due to the negligence of my doctors. I would very much recommend all of you get tested. It's more common than people talk about and most of the time it's unknown what caused it to happen. It gives you GERD and I've noticed it makes a huge difference when dealing with IBS. (Not scientifically proven, however I personally feel better.)
Also if your sugar drops, a lot. You probably have gastroparesis. Your stomachs doesn't absorb sugar properly.
