I too have a UU. We conceived after 7 months of trying. I always knew something was different when he was only on the right side of my abdomen, but no one was ever concerned about this. I had a completely healthy, and normal pregnancy. The only issue was he was breech. I carried to term and had a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. And like most others this was when they discovered i was a "unicorn". Being an OB nurse, I had never myself even heard of this. I have heard of bi-corunate uterus, but not UU. My baby boy was very healthy, healthy 8 pound, 21.5 inch long! Now we are trying to have another baby and have been trying for a 1.5 years with no luck. I have had a HSG to confirm the UU and my right ovary and fallopian tube are healthy, and all my other hormonal work-up is also normal. Which leads to my frustration in not getting pregnant. I believe that it is NOT my UU that is to blame but just mother nature herself. I am trying to be patient, but I am going to probably start IUI within the next month or so. Good luck to all other UU's out there, you can go on to have normal, healthy, term babies! Think about how many women have UU's and don't know it, and have gone on to have healthy pregnancies and deliveries. None of these are reported because they are "normal" and no one is the wiser!
