I noted and graphed my episodes, the frequency, duration and compared it to things going on in my life. I worked out that they would only come around when my stress levels increased. If I had an exam to study for, I would often get them. I also found that if my stress levels stayed high, then the frequency of the episodes would slowly decrease. It was only when I became substantially more stressed that I would experience the episodes.

I would be interested to find out what it is though.

ive had this feeling like 4 times now and has really freaked me out! i also have the distance thing, where the tv looks farther away than it actually is. i started taking topamaz for migraines about 4 months ago and was thinking that maybe that was the cause. i guess i should tell my nuerologist about it. i havent known what to think about all of it...other than it has scared me.

When i was a kid i used to enjoy these episodes happening and would try to prolong them pretending they where my superpower. a few months a go i saw my younger cousin pretending he had super powers and it reminded me when i was kid and i sort of missed them and a more simpler time.
I had this same thing happen to me since i was at least 7 years old. They would usual occur at least twice a month, until I hit around 13, where the frequency would lessen to once every couple of months. When i was around 18 they rarely happened, I would say that I have had a few in the last 8 years and haven't had one of these happen in a few years. Until recently when they have started to occurred frequently again. It feels like your mind is processing things much faster and things such as speech, actions and awareness are speeding up in your mind, though you are fully aware that it is just in your head. Also occasionally accompanied with the "rush" to the head it would feel like what I was concentrating on e.g T.V. or book would seem like it was further away than what it was and the objects in my peripheral vision seemed in there normal place.
As i would usually take most medical opinions i read on the internet forums with a pinch of salt, since most people who write about them don't really have much background in medicine to give a proper opinion. However just discussing it to help relieve the worry like seems to be happening in this thread i feel can't be bad thing & people throwing there 2 cents in at least makes some people feel like they are not alone and relieve some of the worry. From what i have researched of it i would say it is Alice in Wonderland (AiW) syndrome with some people feeling milder symptoms than others (since i have no medical knowledge either i feel a little bit like a hypocrite). Reason i am throwing my 2 cents in is mainly because of the worried parents out there. As if i had told my mum i suffered from this i know she would have been worried sick from this. If you are seriously worried i would suggest seeing your GP.
For me personally i don't feel that it is to do with anxiety attacks as i have never felt anxious before one of these happen although i am laid pack person and don't seem to get anxious or stressed about anything. Since i do not have low blood sugar this can't be the trigger for me. Since these used to happen with more frequency when i was a kid (& most people who have commented) it can't be drug related. They usually occur for me late at night though a couple of hours before i usually go to bed. It seems to happen when there is a continuous droning sound and it is dark but what i am concentrating is giving of light e.g. monitor, T.V. or book light. Since with most medical things to do with the brain different people have different triggers. Since the frequency of this has increased recently i have found that breathing slower heavy breathes and to either sit in the dark or turn the lights on helps it pass quicker.
