I’m having that feeling right now. I’m 17 and this is probably the 10th time or so I’ve had this happen. To me, it feels as if every movement I make or movement around the room is happening very quickly and urgently however I know it is not. My heart is at a normal pace and my breathing is fine. But my brain is speeding it feels like. The room looks bigger or I feel smaller

No, I don't think so, because I get them and actually listening to music or watching tv helps me get rid of them. But it could just be me.

Yes! I just had one (I’m 16 but I’ve had them for as long as I can remember) and I got the loud voices and then everything just goes super fast and then almost out of the blue it just stops and then that’s it but mine usually last like 10-15 minutes

I’ve had this on and off for years as well (now 50). I eventually grew out of it. Glad to see that this wasn’t a single case from my past. I never told anyone about it either and have learned, when I told my daughter, that she has also experienced this feeling. Not sure if it’s hereditary. I’ll ask my parents if either of them have had this experienced this. Is it only females that experience this feeling? I am female.

I'm 19. I just had that. Reading your comments I see most of you weren't scary of it. For me, I also had those episodes frequently, ans cried and was very scary of my life. Last time it happened I wwas like 9 years old. It happened again just minutes ago. Just like I remembered, it felt really really scary, it was getting worse, I felt my head was going to explode. I just put some music and it went away slowy. I'm cold and. shaking right now. I have to say, it may be caused by depression. When I was a kid my parents went to another country and I missed them so much. Now, I have an important examn next week, so it might be a factor, anxiety and those things. But to me it felt really scary, I wanted to scream. Hope you guys get better, I'm in the opinion that this happens because we are not doing some things right in our lives, and this is a manifestation of our brain having excess of stress to deal with.

I am getting this feeling right jow its as if everything is rushing in my own head and my my thoughts are loud and urgent. I also feel similar sensation in slow motion sometimes. Its az if everything slows down in my head and everthing feels all of a sudden really big like im no longer familiar with my own body and mind.

I have just had an episode like this. Like most people here I used to get it very frequently when I was younger, I hated it so much. It would sometimes come with horrendous nightmares where nothing particularly happened except I had the most horrifying sense of dread over these nightmares. I would also feel like things that are soft were actually rigid like my bed covers would feel like a hard block on top of me - awful feeling. I remember researching this when I was younger and found nothing (I’m 24 now and only happens about 2/3 times a year now). I also have asthma like I’ve seen people here. Listening to a slow song always helped me but I’d love to know the reason we all experience this because I’ve always hated it so much!

I actually found that if you just pay attention to what is happening you can actually make it stop or start if you want to. It's a pretty intense, strange but welcoming feeling.

Finally there are others that get this weird, kind of scary sensation! It freaks me out, always takes about 5 mins for it to stop as well! If anyone finds any answers put them in here!!

Hi! I get these episodes every so often too. And I’ve found what triggers it for me. If im listening to a song and the beat slowly gets faster or if its just the audio of a video it’ll cause it to happen and afterwards I sometimes have panic attacks for some reason.
