Hi Cindy, I also had my Uterer severd during my hysterectomy. Four weeks after my hysterectomy I ended up in the hospital for 10 days.They also couldn't figure out the problem to my pain (even though I kept telling my Dr. And the hospital I couldn't feel my bladder) my stomach filled up with so much urine, they drained 4.6 liters the second day and 2 liters the fourth day.They even called in the Cancer Specialist thinking it might be Cancer. My husband finally told them, Is it possible that the Surgeon cut her bladder or her Uterer.That is when they called in the urologist.Test after test, he put me out and said that he just needed to place a Stint and I would be good to go. I came to with a cathider in my Left Kidney and was rushed to USC on the 9th day.Than to top it all off they said I need an other surgery, but not till December, 3 months after my Hysterectomy Surgery. This surgery is to be done Roboticly and I am continuing to wear this cathider in my Kidney. I still going threw alot of pain and depression. Still also waiting to talk to a Lawyer. This surgeon needs to be diseplined for all the pain and suffering I've been going through. It's just not right. So Cindy I know exactly what you are going through.Good luck to you

Please help me, I had surgery to remove my ovaries on Nov 15, was released went back to hospital next day with extreme left abdominal side pain, they did cat scan told me they found large mass that was cancer, I was admitted. Next day had emergency sugery the doctor missed my left ovary. He said it was entangled up in my intestines. I was under for 5 hours. Stayed in hospital two days. It was worst pain and experience I've ever gone through. After being released the pain is worse. I had another cat scan they found colitis. I still am having severe pain when I pee. I can't walk after. Its awful. They refereed me to GI and urulogist. What can this be? I'm in severe pain and scared.

Hi a similar thing happened to me during treatment for endometriosis but they didn't realise what they'd done till after they discharged me. I was in HOTTIFIC pain and looked like I was full term pregnant. I've never been in that much pain in my life and I've had four babies. Anyway a year has gone by and I still have constant flank pain where they reattached my ureter and did bladder hitch. Drs don't want to give me endone anymore but I'm in agony without it. I've tried everything else they've recommended. Nothing works. I've never had to up the dosage and never had withdrawals but they still don't like handing it out. Anyway how are you feeling? Do you still get much pain? Is there ever an end to it?

I have regular stents put in for a botched up kidney transplant where my ureter was not cut and causes chronic infection and having stent changes is extremely painful and I always require morphine as well , so I really feel for you . I am not positive , but the gel you might be thinking of is called LIGNOCAINE which is a local anaesthetic , so ask your local doctor as I am sure it will give you some relief .

Yes it is a case a negligence! My story is almost exactly like yours! Unbelievable. I nearly died from mine. Ten days I waited for a correct diagnosis. My belly filled up with urine and looked heavily pregnant. id**t Drs accused me of being a drug addict as I was in so much extreme pain. Nothing worked. Ladies our stories are very similar mine has been going on since 2011. I have had 22 surgeries since the first surgery for a 9. 3 CM cyst on my right ovary. I am now 48 and my life has been hell for six and a half years, I have had two ureter reimplantations, a full hysterectomy, a bladder surgery, a stroke and I can go on and on I am in 150 percent of pain daily... I started a lawsuit because she not only cut and cauterized my ureter she lied to me about it it only took me 3 hours after she butchered me to return to the hospital the same hospital that had given me a CAT scan and I had a perfectly fine ureter. Now returning after her surgery and released from hospital could not urinate out of my right side. I work from 2 surgeries and had a percutaneous nephrostomy bag attached to my right leg. As soon as I could get in with one of the top urologist I did and that was about 25 days with the percutaneous nephrostomy bag. the best hospital in Pennsylvania and they said I would be fixed in 8 weeks here I am nearly 7 years later with no sex-drive celibate depressed and they want to put me on antidepressants. I only had a certain amount of time to sue, but I cared more about myself then to sue. I now have hydronephrosis and I never sleep and I urinate that's my life pretty much. Can anyone give me advice on what I should do?
