Have any of you that has had this awful thing(s) happened ever suied? I have have had something done to my ureter tube right after my hysterectomy and I am still dealing with all the different surgeries that comes with it. I am suing the doc that has me so messed up and was just wondering if anyone else has already!?!? Thanks and be blessed

Hello, ngerth.... I know if the surgeon did something irresponsible during the surgery, some sort of negligence, you will no doubt be able to successfully sue this doctor. Did he warn you of damage to your ureter when having the hysterectomy? I know he would use this for a defense if it is written in documentation and signed by you that you understood the risks. I know of a couple of people that have successfully sued their doctor or hospital so it is possible to win.

No he did tell me the risk of other things happening but nothing concerning my ureters. My lawyer seems to think we will win. The doc can use whatever for his defense but he shouldn't have said on the phone that something could have happened during the surgery or he could have stitched the ureter! I have never sued anyone but I have been through the mill and I am still not done. January wil be the 5th surgery so far.
